Best tea house in all of Tokyo! We went to the original location 6 years ago when visiting Osaka, so we were thrilled to find they opened a new location in Tokyo for this visit. One of the owners (a couple) was there and greeted us warmly and we also struck up a great conversation with a local who visits the shop twice a week on her break from work. The curry is the owners own recipe and it was amazing along with all of the tea we tried.

The scone set is ¥1900 and comes with a glass of tea and tea affogato is served after the meal. I got the Royal milk tea and it’s strong and sweet! Similar to Hong Kong milk tea. I came on a weekday afternoon and was surprised that every table was reserved except for one. It’s a recently renovated and beautiful space with lots of light and the staff is kind. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu 🎶

This time I visited 'Amsu Tea House TOKYO', a tea specialty shop located about a 5-minute walk from JR Osaki Station. A popular shop in Bishōen, Osaka, has expanded to Tokyo, with a calm atmosphere that also has sofa seats in a fashionable space ◎ Visit time 13:00 Waiting time None due to reservation Ordered * Hiver Royal Afternoon Tea Set Weekdays ¥5,500 / Weekends & holidays ¥5,940 ・Welcome tea (Sweet Ruby tea soda): Gulp it down with sweet soda... [Top tier] ・Chocolate pudding with plenty of strawberries: Smooth pudding with a strong chocolate feel ・Strawberry boule de neige: Crumbly cookies! There's chocolate inside? The texture is also fun! ・Pistachio and strawberry zuccotto: Dome-shaped zuccotto filled with pistachio, delicious! ・Homemade cocoa powder and strawberry macaron: Crispy macaron that melts in the mouth ・Earl Grey chocolate and strawberry verrine: I really liked it because it had mousse and crunchy chocolate inside ・Crispy Orangette: I had a bias against orange ✖️ chocolate, but this had no quirk and I enjoyed it ・Ecuadorian cacao scone: The scone is too delicious. Eat it with Rodda's clotted cream and framboise confiture [Bottom tier] ・Homemade brown stew pot pie: Crispy while warm. The pie is crispy and the stew meat is also delicious ・Roasted pork of Iwami pork from Shimane: Moist and soft pork. The strawberry and balsamic sauce is good ・Strawberry and mozzarella cheese caprese pinchos: Caprese is delicious ・Duck, paprika, and strawberry glass: I didn't know until this day that duck goes well with strawberries ・Mandarin orange and strawberry cocktail salad: Veggie first, right ・Pumpkin potage: Soup that warms the stomach ・Tea affogato: A dish that comes after the meal, where you eat ice cream with hot tea. It was my first time. The scone is very impressive. I thought my mouth would be dry? It's crispy and moist! I enjoyed it with jam and the cream of the Earl Grey chocolate and strawberry verrine, it was very fun. Also, it's very good that they provide various types of tea randomly in small amounts. This time I had 16 types of tea leaves. The ones I liked the most were Pick Me Up, Milkish Creme, Vanilla Cream, and Jade Lemon. Notes Being a tea specialty shop, there is a wide variety of tea, and a good point is that cold-brewed tea is provided instead of water. The scone has a crispy and fluffy texture, and goes perfectly with clotted cream. The dessert called tea affogato, unique to a tea specialty shop, was also fresh. It is a cafe where you can spend a luxurious time while enjoying tea in a relaxed space. Thank you for the meal, 'Amsu Tea House TOKYO'.
