A traditional teishoku, like a hole in the wall restaurant. The food is decent and prices are good for a set lunch meal.

※Ask for a large serving of rice when ordering There is 1 female staff member serving the dining area and 1 man working in the kitchen. When I arrived at the opening time listed on Google Maps, 2 people were already waiting, but the restaurant was still getting ready and opened around 11:35. By 11:45, about half the seats were occupied. Solo diners are invariably shown to the counter. The counter seating consists of benches, which may be a little unstable, as they shake slightly when the person next to you moves. Apparently, the lunch menu changes daily. I ordered the tuna cheek steak lunch (1100円). It arrived about 5 minutes after ordering. Tuna cheek pieces covered in a ginger pork-style sauce were arranged over a mountain of cabbage salad. The sauce is quite strongly flavored. The tuna cheek is tender and very delicious. Cutting it with chopsticks and putting little pieces on the rice, combined with the rich sauce, really keeps you eating. There is no dressing on the cabbage salad, but that is actually better because it keeps the salt intake down. There is plenty of sauce from the tuna cheek anyway, so dipping the cabbage in it gives just the right seasoning. The miso soup had a distinct dashi flavor and just the right strength. Since the restaurant had only just opened, it had not boiled down and tasted fresh and delicious. A large serving of rice is free if requested when ordering. The regular portion was nowhere near enough for me (this was my 3rd visit), so I always ask for a large serving. Incidentally, the listed prices for extra rice were small 200円, medium 250円, and large 300円. Salt-grilled hokke was also on the daily menu this time, so I considered having that, but ended up choosing the tuna cheek steak lunch again. I have come for lunch 3 times, and it has been on the menu every time, so despite the menu supposedly changing daily, this dish seems quite likely to be available. The restaurant has a fast turnover, so people who cannot eat quickly might feel a little rushed. Still, I always put that aside and chew properly and savor my meal. I feel that is also a way of showing gratitude for the food. Thank you for another lovely meal. Counter seating: 2-person benches ×3 Table seating: 4-person tables ×2, 2-person tables ×2

I visited at 11:30 on a weekday and managed to get the last seat. Even after I went in, there were always 2–3 people waiting, which got my hopes up about the food. I ordered the tuna cheek steak and waited at the counter. The restaurant is run by a married couple, and the man in the kitchen was preparing one type of order at a time. It looks like your food might come faster if you order the same thing as the person before you. As I waited, orders kept arriving around me, and everything looked delicious, making me want to keep coming back and work through the menu. When the tuna cheek arrived, it looked insanely good😋 One bite and the meat fell apart, with gentle Japanese-style seasoning. It goes really well with rice. The regular rice portion was enough, but some people around me were getting refills or large portions. I wasn't sure how much extra that cost. There was a big serving of cabbage too, so I was full after finishing everything. Another nice point was that the pickles tasted just how I like them. Getting to eat unusual tuna cheek at lunchtime made it a good day.
