A concept store consisting of the retail and pop-up space 「V.A.」 on the 1st floor, and the bakery 「VATBAKERY (Vat Bakery)」 and a café space on the 2nd floor. It features 「VAT BAKERY」, which offers breads and donuts baked in-store, and a café space where you can take items home or enjoy original drinks together with bread bought at the bakery. The café space is characterized by a floor that inherited the furniture of 「Ace」, a renowned classic kissaten loved by many in Kanda, Tokyo, and by nostalgically designed red booth seats, letting you enjoy a space and food and drink unique to 「V.A.」. ※Payment is cash…

Superb quality pastry. We had two sweet pastries, one with blueberries, another with cinnamon sugar. Both tasted great! The interior design was very creative, trendy and vibrant! Small space, yet not feeling suffocating, instead it was fun and trendy! We were lucky to have the window seats. The service was just great! You can also shop downstairs as they have some really nice and trendy clothes, accessories and lifestyle items.

The inside is smaller than I expected, but the window seating is quite nice. The Nutella roll was tasty and soft, though I wish they had suggested warming it up, even just a little. The coffee was okay. I recommend visiting between 11:00 and 14:00, as they offer a deal where most of the sweet rolls and some drinks can be ordered as a set for just 1,000 yen — saving you around 400–500 yen. Service was pretty good overall. The only confusing part was that you first place your order at what looks like a cashier, but then you pay only when you leave — and at a different counter.

A hidden gem tucked along bustling Omotesando’s main street. VAT BAKERY is easy to miss—the first floor is a clothing store—but once you find it, you’ll see why it’s already popular. One major draw is their 3rd-floor window seating with a great street view. Even on a weekday, the place was lively. The menu covers both savory and sweet options. From mentaiko brioche to Jamón Serrano focaccia, as well as donuts and their signature cinnamon rolls, there’s plenty to tempt you. We went for a mix and found the food decent, with the iced coffee being the perfect refreshment on a hot day in Tokyo. The friendly staff and the fact that we managed to score a coveted window seat midway made the visit even better. VAT BAKERY is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Omotesando and want to relax in a bright, cozy space with a nice city view.

Pastries were unique and delicious. Had to pay separately from coffee on next floor up (minimum of 1 drink per person). $20 for 4 small drinks.

Rolls were great but service was bad. They didnt tell us theres a “one drink per person” rule when we ordered and paid, then came to us when we were already finished eating and made us order drinks. Then they took FOREVER to make the drinks.
