たい焼 さわ田Taiyaki Sawada- Shibuya Shop
"Located a 1-minute walk from Shibuya Station, this is a taiyaki specialty store committed to handmade. Our taiyaki uses a uniquely developed mix flour, boasting a unique texture that is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Inside the thin skin, it is packed with filling from head to tail, providing a satisfying meal even with just 1 piece. For the standard 'anko', we use 100% rare luxury azuki beans that can only be harvested 5% from Hokkaido Tokachi. In addition, we have a variety of menus such as 'custard' which is rich in flavor using plenty of eggs. Don't miss the limited-time menus that appear every season. In between shopping or walking around Shibuya, or for a break on the way home from work/school...

taiyaki from here was solid. i got the custard filling instead of the traditional red bean. the dough was grilled really well. it was pretty crunchy, and the extra outline outside of the fish really helped. the custard inside was fine, but it was a little too sweet in my opinion. my guess is that this is because what tourists are used to, because it's one of the sweetest fillings i had on my trip. probably should've gotten the red bean instead. it's a decent sized piece without being too expensive - just 300 yen overall, good enough taiyaki place, but not mindblowing. 7.5/10
View on GoogleAbsolutely amazing! Crisp on the outside, fresh and warm, melts in your mouth. I was on my way to Shibuya crossing and stopped by accident, chose the custard taiyaki and I remember it even after a few weeks - dreaming about returning to Japan and having this dessert again. No wonder the reviews are impressive and even local guides recommend this place. The people serving dessert were so kind as well, it was an unexpected beautiful memory to me. All the best success for the business for years to come!
View on GoogleIt was a lovely Sunday, and my husband and I were shopping around Shibuya after lunch. I was craving たい焼き (taiyaki, Japanese fish-shaped waffle) with ice cream, so we searched on Google Maps and found this たい焼き place. We decided to walk over and give it a try. There were a few people lining up when we arrived, so we joined the queue as well. The wait wasn’t long, about six minutes before it was my turn. Meanwhile, my husband went to a fast-food shop across the street to buy me some ice cream so I could enjoy them together! I chose the あずき (sweet red bean) flavor. They also had an option with ice cream inside the taiyaki, but I personally prefer having a whole taiyaki on top of a full serving of ice cream. I really appreciated that right after I placed my order, they put the pre-made taiyaki back onto the griddle to warm it up. I don’t mind if it’s pre-made, but I do prefer it to be hot and freshly warmed rather than cold. The taiyaki was tasty. The outside wasn’t very crispy, but the skin wasn’t too thick either. It had a generous amount of red bean filling inside, and it wasn’t overly sweet, which I liked. We ate it together with the ice cream we bought, and the combination tasted great! Overall, we were happy with the taiyaki. It wasn’t anything extremely special, but it was still good and satisfying.
View on GoogleThe best dessert we had in Japan Fun little fish filled with custard, red bean paste, German savoury potatoes, green tea and chocolate The flavours were incredible, they are made fresh and nice and hot when you eat them. The potato flavour unexpectedly the best one! Highly recommend
View on GoogleA bit pricey compared to other taiyaki stalls. Overall it's still delicious and it's always freshly baked before serving even though it's displayed first
