Visited during a previous trip to Tokyo while in Shibuya with a small group. Sushi Tokyo Ten is best known for their omakase, which is a set multiple course sushi menu by the chef and each course is made in front of you before serving. Their lunch omakase menu was approximately 10-12 items and reservations are generally encouraged. Many items during the omakase set menu were well made with a lot of attention to detail to it. The chef was very friendly in interacting with everyone around the table to explain what each item was. They were also very accommodating for any dietary restrictions and adjusting menu items to help accommodate. Every item was made with fresh seafood, which added a lot to the overall flavour of each item. While the menu was chef's choice, some of the best items were the otoro (fatty tuna), tuna hand roll and uni (sea urchin). Other seafood items featured included a clam miso soup, grilled mackerel, oysters, octopus and shrimp, all made in various ways by the chef. Service was overall very friendly throughout, in checking in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. Overall, this was a good place to try omakase as an experience especially given the value for the set menu when compared to other places that offer omakase.
View on GoogleI had an amazing experience at Sushi Tokyo Ten Shibuya. From the first moment, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere was elegant, modern, and authentic at the same time. I really enjoyed watching how carefully everything was prepared. The sushi was absolutely delicious and some of the freshest I have ever tried. Every piece had incredible flavor and perfect presentation. You can truly feel the quality of the ingredients and the professionalism of the chefs. I especially liked how balanced and delicate each course tasted. Everything was served beautifully and at the perfect pace. The service was also excellent. Everyone was polite, attentive, and respectful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I appreciated the calm and relaxing environment, which made the dinner feel special and memorable. For me, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you are in Tokyo. It combines amazing food, high quality, and a wonderful atmosphere. I left very impressed and happy with the experience. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone who loves authentic sushi and great dining experiences.
View on GoogleSushi Tokyo Ten is a fantastic choice for our first Omakase in Japan. We are glad that they accepted us without any reservation. The food that served were fantastic and value for money. We order the one of premium sets and very satisfied with the great foods served. The atmosphere was great too.
View on GoogleValue: At 4,990 yen for the lunch set, this restaurant offers an impressive value for the price. It is an affordable way to enjoy a multi-course meal without the typical high-end financial commitment. Food: The portions are generous and the quality is decent for a casual meal. While it is a satisfying experience, it is best enjoyed with the understanding that it does not aim to compete with Japan’s elite 200,000 yen tier restaurants. Service and communication: - The service was the main drawback of the visit. The staff struggled with attentiveness, as they forgot our request for the bill and only settled our check after serving four or five other groups. Language Nuances - There was some inconsistency in how dishes were introduced. The chef used specific Japanese terminology like "anago" with some diners, yet translated it to "fresh water eel" for us. This felt a bit disjointed, though it likely came from an attempt to be helpful to non-Japanese speakers
View on GoogleSushi Tokyo Ten – Omakase Experience Worth Trying Omakase courses here are by reservation only, and there are several branches to choose from, making it accessible in multiple locations. The quality of ingredients was very good, with fresh fish and well-prepared sushi. The flavors were solid and enjoyable — not necessarily mind-blowing, but definitely tasty and satisfying. Most of the menu items were easy to enjoy and approachable, even for those new to sushi omakase. Prices felt reasonable and fair for the style and quality of the meal. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience feel welcoming and comfortable. Overall, Sushi Tokyo Ten offers a pleasant omakase experience with good quality and approachable flavors — a great choice if you’re looking for enjoyable sushi without being overly complicated.
