I’ve been to Sushi no Midori Shibuya many times over the years, and this was actually my fourth visit. Just like every other time, there was a long line. I waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes, but honestly it’s something I already expected because this place is always popular. The sushi here is always worth the wait. The fish is incredibly fresh, the portions are generous, and the balance between the rice and the topping is just right. Every piece feels carefully prepared, and you can really taste the quality of the seafood. What I really like about Sushi no Midori is that the quality feels almost like high-end sushi, but the price is still quite reasonable compared to many sushi restaurants in Tokyo. The restaurant is lively and busy, but the staff work very efficiently and keep things moving smoothly even with the long line. Even after four visits, I still feel it’s one of the best places in Tokyo if you want great sushi at a fair price. Definitely worth the wait.
View on GoogleMidori is a go-to sushi spot for me. (I’ve visited more than five times.)The quality is consistently good, the fish is fresh, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. It’s one of those reliable places I keep coming back to. The only downside is the queue can get very long. A useful tip: if you’re serious about sushi, go à la carte for the best experience. If you book online, you’ll usually need to order one of the set menus instead. Still, great value and definitely worth it if you plan ahead.
View on GoogleSushi no Midori is one of those places that reminds you why Japan is in a league of its own when it comes to sushi. The ticketing system is incredibly well organised, with queue updates available through LINE or the web for foreigners, making the wait easy to manage while you explore Shibuya. We opted for one of the set menus, and it was exceptional value. Alongside sushi that quite literally melted in your mouth, the meal included a small crab paste salad, miso soup, steamed egg custard, and a strawberry ice cream to finish. Every component felt thoughtfully prepared and complemented the main event perfectly. We shared a warm sake and, to our surprise, the total bill came to just ¥7,700. We left comfortably full and wondering how such quality could be offered at that price point. An outstanding sushi experience that combines incredible freshness, generous set menus, and remarkable value. A must-visit when in Tokyo.
View on GoogleHad an amazing sushi experience at Sushi no Midori Shibuya! We ordered one of their signature sets and it was incredibly sumptuous — a great variety and very satisfying overall. The fish and seafood were exceptionally fresh, with each piece tasting clean and full of flavour. Despite the hour-long wait, it was absolutely worth it. The quality, portion, and value really stand out. I’d definitely come back again the next time I’m in Tokyo!
View on GoogleIf you are traveling through Japan and looking for an impeccable dining experience, don't hesitate for a second. Without a doubt, this was the best sushi in terms of quality and price that we’ve had during our entire trip. Next-level freshness: If you are used to eating sushi in Spain and come to this place, you’ll realize you have never tasted anything this fresh before. The difference is night and day! Art in motion: Watching around 5 to 6 sushi masters meticulously crafting every single piece right in front of you is a true spectacle. If you love gastronomy, this is an absolute must-visit. Flawless service: The entire experience is a perfect display of order, friendliness, and incredible professionalism.
