Ikuya prepared for us one of the best sushi we have ever eaten! He was so kind to ask for allergies and preparing a special omakase for me (allergic to crostaceus). The service was great, every dish was explained, and the atmosphere was cool. Price wise it was good, especially if you do the all you can drink and you take advantage of the second round of your favourites sushi type!
View on GoogleYurakucho Kakida Sushi was easily one of the most memorable dining experiences of my trip to Japan. Every piece of sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced, and showcased the quality of the ingredients. You can tell that every bite is carefully crafted with precision and respect for the fish. The highlight of the experience was our sushi chef, Fukuda. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we sat down, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. Watching him prepare each piece of sushi was mesmerizing—his attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship were nothing short of extraordinary. Every movement had purpose, and it was clear how much pride he takes in perfecting each piece before serving it. Beyond the amazing food, the hospitality made this restaurant truly stand out. The combination of exceptional sushi, an intimate counter experience, and Chef Fukuda’s genuine kindness made this a meal I’ll never forget. If you’re looking for an authentic omakase experience in Tokyo, Yurakucho Kakida Sushi is an absolute must-visit. I would recommend it without hesitation and can’t wait to return. Also you get ICE CREAM.
View on GoogleIf you’re looking for an unforgettable sushi experience in Tokyo, I highly recommend Yurakucho Kakida. Every piece of nigiri was incredibly fresh, and each one had its own unique flavor and preparation that made the meal exciting from start to finish. My favorites were the chutoro, which was rich, buttery, and practically melted in my mouth, and the sea bream, which was delicate, sweet, and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even better was the sushi chef. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, and spoke both Japanese and English, making the meal enjoyable and comfortable even for international visitors. You could really tell how much care and passion went into every piece of sushi. Overall, this was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in Tokyo, and I would absolutely come back the next time I’m here.
View on GoogleAn absolute masterpiece of a night! The food was exceptionally fresh, and the vibrant yet intimate atmosphere made the experience so much fun. The chef is incredibly friendly and amazing at interacting with the guests, making everyone feel right at home. Truly grateful for this spectacular dinner. I'll definitely be back!
View on GoogleLocated on the 19th floor of Hotel Century Southern Tower, you’ll need to go through the hotel lobby and take the elevator up. It’s not visible from the street, so it might be a bit tricky to find at first, but just follow the signs once you’re inside. Booked through Tabelog for the Tokyo set course at ¥13,000 per person, plus a mandatory service charge. The reservation process requires email verification, and do note there is also a system processing fee of JPY 1,320 (tax included) charged at the time of booking. It’s an all-you-can-order sushi concept within a 120-minute time limit, and each guest is required to order at least one drink. Drinks start from ¥1,000, with all-you-can-drink options available for soft drinks (¥1,500), alcohol (¥3,000), and premium alcohol (¥6,000), all tax included. It was actually our first time trying this kind of “all-you-can-eat omakase,” which made the experience quite interesting and different. The style leans more towards generous portions and a value-focused approach, rather than the refined, slow-paced progression you’d expect from a classic Edomae omakase. The pacing is quicker and the atmosphere is more lively and energetic. The portions are quite big, we were already very full after just one round. The fish is served fresh and thick-cut, and the flavours are more bold than delicate, so it’s definitely more about satisfaction than finesse. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, and the overall flow of service felt smooth. Staff were friendly, energetic, and efficient. Overall, it may not be the best fit if you’re expecting a quiet, traditional omakase experience, but if you’re open to something more casual, filling, and different, it’s definitely an interesting one to try.
