All kinds of varieties of cherry trees were in bloom. There are maps at the main entrance (the only one open) that told you the varieties of the trees with pictures. Many beautiful trees for ample picture opportunities. Many people there doing pictures and picnicking under the trees. Several rest areas for drinks and bathrooms. Beautiful to walk around. Worth the ¥500 entry fee. You can buy advance tickets and use your suica that line is faster, but I waited less than 5 minutes to buy a ticket.
View on GoogleThis area is the reason why I visited the park. And it's totally worth it! You can see not only pink sakuras, but also white sakuras, which are not so common, as I learned later on. The whole park is very well maintained and it takes about 1 hour to enjoy the whole sakura area, including sessions for taking pictures of the trees or with the trees.
View on GoogleMade it on March 27 and a good amount of cherry blossoms were already in Bloom making it a wonderful and beautiful experience. It only gets more amazing in a couple days so don’t miss it.
