The best owl cafe hands down. All staff are very friendly, with great English, and are passionate about owls and know how to take care of them really well. They have many different kind of owls and we were given a lot of time to interact with every each of them ( that are not in training) and overall just a very cozy and fun experience. I would recommend this to everyone. And they also ask you to vote for your favorite owl and the end of the experience, please support Spica.
View on Google• Owl meet & greet: Up close with a variety of sizes — from tiny fluffballs to big boss owls. Cool variety. • Staff on point: Fun background stories and gentle petting allowed on some (newbies are touch-free for good reason). • Group size warning: Large crew = pretty cramped, elbow-to-wing vibes. • Kid magnet: Children lose their minds (in the best way). Adults survive. • Reality check: Overall solid experience, but that bird-poop smell hits hard — don’t plan on lingering too long. 🦉💨 Worth a quick visit if you’re in Harajuku with kids!
View on Google5/5 stars – An Unforgettable Experience in the Heart of Harajuku Owl Village Cafe Harajuku (ふくろうの里 原宿店) was one of the highlights of my entire trip to Tokyo, and I cannot recommend it enough. The cafe is home to over 18 owls, all beautifully cared for in a cozy, owl-themed setting. From tiny little owls to impressively large species, every single one had their own personality, and the staff clearly knew and loved each individual bird. They were always quick to share tips about each owl’s temperament and give you a heads-up about how to interact with them. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and go out of their way to explain everything clearly, even across language barriers. As a visitor, I never felt rushed or confused. They guided us through every interaction with warmth and genuine enthusiasm, which made the whole experience so much more special. You get a full 60 minutes in the cafe, a complimentary drink with your reservation, and the option to feed the owls for an extra fee. Absolutely worth it. The location is incredibly convenient too, just a short walk from Harajuku Station near Takeshita Street. Easy to find and perfectly placed if you’re already exploring the area. If you’re visiting Tokyo and want a truly unique, memorable experience, this is it. Book in advance as it fills up fast, and come ready to fall in love with some very wise and wonderfully fluffy new friends.
View on GoogleI had such a great time at this owl café during my trip to Japan 🦉 You can tell right away the owls are really well taken care of, and the whole space feels calm and comfortable for them. One of my favorite parts was getting to feed Haku, the barn owl, I loved it so much. It felt really special being able to interact with them up close. Also, each owl has its own personality and even its own favorite spot for pets, which made the experience feel really personal. The staff were super friendly and informative. They guided us through everything and made sure we interacted with the owls properly, which I really appreciated. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals. If you’re in Japan and looking for something unique, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s such a memorable experience, and you’re supporting a café that treats their owls with care and respect. Thanks again for such a special visit. I’ll always remember Haku!
View on GoogleLoving my experience here! The staff were friendly and kept us entertained throughout our one hour experience (offered to take pictures for you if you are a solo visitor). And there are a lot of different varieties of owls so you’ll get a good sense of different types and get a selfie with different ones!
