There are several of these restaurants throughout Tokyo, and I’ve been to a couple, but this was my first time here. It’s a nice set meal of ochazuke, and they also sell nice onigiri as well. There are quite a few options, but I went with the tuna option which was fantastic. It was so fresh and tasty, and all the sides complemented it well. And the salmon (鮭) onigiri was excellent as well. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance perfect for this kind of meal.
View on GoogleTHE place to go if you want a really good ochazuke set. The combo of sides is the best of what I have tried so far in Japan - random but really loved the jelly sweet dish served as it really rounded off the meal. The only place in Japan I went back for the second time during the trip as it was that memorable and yummy. Its cash only btw
View on GoogleOne of the first meals we've had in Japan and it did not disappoint us! We went early as we thought there would be a line but 20min before the opening time there was no line! Having said that the line formed right behind us and it quickly filled. Food was authentic homemade style japanese food with a bunch of side dish - rice especially was superb quality. Staff were friendly too and there were english menu available. 🤩
View on GoogleI eat a lot of teishoku, and ordered the salmon set meal, lunch. It was pretty dang flavorless. Maybe that is the goal and I don’t appreciate it 😆. Atmosphere was good. 10 min wait outside for a table for two on a Friday at 1p. Packed throughout the space. The pork belly my friend got looked better.
View on GoogleI saw it via “Rednote” and it looked really inviting. I brought my dad here, he enjoyed it, too. He recommended the cutting presentation of Sashimi that display on the bowl should be considered… This restaurant is very local, not a lot of foreigners but staff can speak English! Other than that, this is a wonderful place. Everything is from local - love it. In addition, their service is good, too. I’d say it’s a hidden gem. Btw, I ordered grilled salmon and salmon egg set.
