Nakayoshi Shibuya Stream
"なかよし" is rooted in the local community and values “Japanese meals” that are kind to both our customers’ stomachs and wallets, and never get boring even when eaten every day. Our offerings center on set meals with rice, carefully handmade dishes, and a wide selection of local sake and shochu. The menu features familiar home cooking such as karaage, nikujaga, nikudofu, grilled and simmered fish, etc… but we serve Japanese cuisine that begins with properly preparing dashi. Set meals are available from lunch through the evening, with unlimited refills of fluffy rice cooked in donabe clay pots. The 渋谷ストリーム branch is conveniently connected directly to exit 16b of 渋谷駅! The set meals offer good value and are recommended for both lunch and dinner. …

Perfectly acceptable food, served quickly by polite staff. Was it the best meal I've ever had? No. Was it reasonably priced? Yes. Was it one of the few places still open in the building when we were getting very hungry? Also yes.
View on GoogleI stopped by Nakayoshi at Shibuya Stream around 3:00 PM and was seated immediately without a wait. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the rice—it's cooked in traditional clay pots (donabe), making it incredibly fluffy and flavorful. It truly elevates the entire teishoku (set meal) experience. If you appreciate high-quality Japanese rice, this place is a must-visit!
View on GoogleVery packed around lunch time with relatively young customers. I ordered grilled mackerel (さばの塩焼き) and chicken namban as toppings, because I really like both. They are perfectly cooked, serve in a perfect portion.
View on GoogleA place where you can enjoy Japanese set lunch/dinner. I ordered grilled mackerel top on with chicken karaage. Another dish my friend ordered chicken soup with radish and carrots top on with natto. The food came very fast and the taste was amazing! The sauce on the fish was very tasty and not too salty. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The price is also reasonable considering it’s in Shibuya - Second time with the saba and mirin. Still so good 😊
View on GoogleDelicious traditional Japanese food; incredible value for money - you can’t beat a main dish with rice and small sides for less than ¥1,000. The feel of a neighbourhood joint in a sleeker, updated environment. Everything feels fresh, clean, healthy; the three meals I had were absolutely delicious. Very good sake. The best service in the area too - the waiters and waitresses could not be more helpful, getting their google translate on their own phones to explain the specials (which aren’t all translated in the Japanese menu). Just lovely, low key - perfect.
