If you order the set menu, it comes with miso soup, rice and 3 side dishes depending on the day’s. Interior reminds me of the showa-era and you are able to smoke inside. Food is well portioned and delicious. most of all the People here are really nice!

Smoking is allowed at every seat! (Regular cigarettes are OK too) Choose from today's lunch options written on the wall. (A little under 1000円) Lots of side dishes come with it, making you feel like you've come home to your family♪ The food is delicious, and the kind owner sometimes gives you complimentary coffee or dessert! But lunchtime gets busy, so the owner is rushed off their feet! Finding the right moment to order or pay is tricky…! haha I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone in a huge hurry at lunchtime (around 12), but it's a lovely, very homely place!

Perhaps they stay open continuously, because I could get in at an odd hour (after 14:00). There were no customers smoking as mentioned in other reviews. There were ashtrays on the tables. The windows and doors were wide open and a fan was whirring overhead, so they were considerate about smoke. There was no cigarette smell at all. On my first visit, I had the shogayaki set meal. It wasn't too salty and tasted just how I like it, so the rice went down easily. It was a very balanced and delicious meal, with various small bowls and plates. The white miso soup had rich dashi and strong umami and was truly delicious. The lady who came to clear the plates with my complimentary coffee said, "I'm glad you ate everything so nicely," so I could express my thanks by saying, "Because it was really delicious. Thank you for the meal!" and had a lovely time.
