A neighborhood soba shop on 不動産通り in 渋谷区. Set meals are reasonably priced, and you can comfortably enjoy them paired with rice bowls or other set dishes. The soba is fairly thin with a pleasantly firm bite and a smooth texture going down. The broth is slightly sweet and brings out the soba’s flavor. The interior is plain and unadorned, with the easygoing feel of a local diner and many regular customers. It gets busy at lunchtime, so visiting outside that period allows for a relaxed meal. Cashless payments such as PayPay are also available. An approachable soba shop that’s just right for everyday visits.

★★★★★ 5/5 “A bowl that touches the heart. A hidden gem in 渋谷本町.” About a 5-minute walk from 初台 Station, the soba shop 「松乃家」 sits quietly in 不動通り商店街. Drawn by its exterior, which retains a Showa-era feel, I passed through the noren and found time flowing peacefully inside. There are no counter seats, just tables arranged in a calm Japanese-style space. Whether alone or with family, it offers a reassuring sense of comfort. The soba itself strikes an exquisite balance between a smooth texture going down and a firm bite. The 「かき揚げ天そば」 in particular lets the crisp batter and sweetness of the vegetables slowly seep into the dashi, making you want to drink every last drop. Most memorable of all is the staff’s warm service. Even during busy periods, they look after each customer and respond attentively. Food is served quickly too, making it a place you can comfortably visit even at lunchtime. 「松乃家」 is more than a soba shop; it’s a place to lose track of time while enjoying a delicious meal. Here you’ll find a bowl that gently soothes both body and mind, away from the city’s bustle. If you visit 渋谷本町, do stop by. You’re sure to feel that you want to return.
