No idea why this isn’t rated higher because it was one of my favorite meals so far in Japan - 200 yen yakitori, the chicken wings and thighs were to die for (sauce not just salt!), perfectly cooked and crispy, the shishitos were perfect, the garlic steak was tender. People liked the sashimi and eel. Servers were super nice and helpful, there’s a helpful English menu. The negi skewer was also yummy! Want to try the ninniku maruage (fried garlic) next time. Very welcoming cozy atmosphere, open late, good for a larger group.
View on GoogleIt was alright! Not the best food I've ever had in my life but it is a nice casual place and good for large groups. English menu is available and the prices are very affordable. It is cash only. The seats are a little uncomfortable since they are just little metal stools, but nothing out of the ordinary for a small restaurant.
View on GoogleExcellent. The service was lightning fast and the curry was top notch. For ¥700 I got a huge curry containing various types of meat and veg (renkon, gobo etc). This is not a fancy, upmarket, place - but somewhere that does good food fast. A great place for lunch.
View on GoogleThe staff were so kind, and the food was good by Izakaya standards. Food wise. The highlight of my meal was sasami with the three different kinds of sauces (yuzu, wasabi, and ume). The owner was so kind and talked with me despite my childish level of Japanese. She does have English menus for anyone who can not speak Japanese. Lastly, she even walked me to another nearby sushi restaurant to make a reservation for the next day after I asked for a recommendation for the following nights dinner. Please come and visit her. The owner and staff are very kind, and if you're lucky, you might get to try some of her Kyoto style cooking, not on the menu!
View on GoogleCame past here on a random lunch search walk, was intrigued by the full crowd of guys, and decided to try the half hayashi rice and half spicy chicken curry. It was delicious! The hayashi rice is slightly better than their curry but both were very enjoyable. The proprietors were also very friendly and spoke good English. Would definitely come back!
