Mom and pop shop. Visited here on a whim. Got treated very well even though my Japanese is not that great. Ordered the hamburg steam set meal which came with the hamburger patty which was extremely juicy, potatoe salad ontop of a mini salad, potatoe croquette and a jumbo shrimp. It was a little under 1200 yen for the the set I believe as well as the cola highball not pictured at 500 yen. Come for the good vibes. You can simply point at the menu and she will know. Once again it’s a mom and pop establishment so you will need to be a little patient as the food is made to order. Come show some love. These businesses are the heart and soul of Japan. Maybe stay away from the chains once in a while and come support the local shops. I will be back here soon!
View on GoogleSmall restaurant. Basically mom and pop style. Smoking is allowed which can be different. But food was great and beer was cold.
View on GoogleA typically local, comfortable and even nostalgic, Yoshoku-ya (Japanese Western set meal restaurant) thriving in a rapidly changing tip of the urban downtown. The regulars’ favourite and most popular Kikuya Lunch sets, rice bowls and plates are mostly around 1 to 1.5k yen range, and they all taste comfortably good and are in good quantities. Some say smoking inside bugs them but it didn't concern me at all, all thanks to the shopkeeper lady’s gentle and skilful handling of this small yoshoku eatery world. We’ll be definitely coming back here with our stomachs empty, soon. Thanks.
