Traditional buckwheat (soba) restaurant which offers a variety of noodles and tempura dishes, including seasonal specialties you should not miss. My favorite dish is the kamo nanban hot soup soba, duck meat, light soup, excellent. At this season try the tomato tempura, you won't find anywhere else.

View on GoogleYou'll be less disappointed if you think of it as a set-meal restaurant rather than a soba shop. 豚バラのチーズハサミ揚げ set meal (ざる蕎麦), 850円. A fried dish. Cheese wrapped in several layers of pork belly and deep-fried. It looks easy to make, and I'd like to try making it myself. I can accept that it wasn't freshly fried, but what they served was cold. The cheese had hardened, spoiling the enjoyment. I think reheating it to melt the cheese would make it tastier. As the photo shows, the soba is cut very unevenly, and it's hard; it seems undercooked. The flavor is also lacking. They served tea at the end. It somehow felt powdery. Wouldn't hojicha or soba tea be better than green tea?
View on GoogleI visited 喜道庵, a soba restaurant a 4-minute walk from 渋谷 and 神泉 stations, apparently dating back to the Muromachi period? It's open until 22 on weekdays, making it handy after work. With everything from counter seats to tatami seating, it's easy to visit alone or with friends. Especially since my expectations were low, the food tasted good. Its Tabelog rating is decent too. But the smoking...
View on GoogleWandered around 神泉 looking for dinner and settled on this place. Ordered the signature 鶏大根そば. The broth-soaked daikon and chicken were delicious. 980円. Cash only.
