Visited Khumbila and had a really nice experience. If you’re looking for authentic Nepali food in Tokyo, this place is definitely worth trying. The food tastes very close to home. I tried a few dishes and everything was fresh, well cooked, and full of flavor. The spices are balanced nicely, not too strong but still very authentic. They also offer buffet lunch and dinner, which is a great option if you want to try different dishes in one visit. Good variety and satisfying portions. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable, and the place feels welcoming. Staff are friendly and service is smooth. Overall, a great spot for Nepali food. Good taste, nice environment, and definitely worth visiting again.
View on GoogleThis 3-4 story restaurant offers a truly immersive experience with traditional Nepalese decor and music. The lunch buffet (JPY 1350) is a flavorful journey, including stir-fried noodles, rice, fried naan, stewed chicken, chickpea curry, and a unique pork & radish curry, all accompanied by salad with your choice of tomato or yogurt dressing. All drinks come with water and a lassi. Be aware that the food is moderately spicy and strong in flavor, so prepare for a lasting impression! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would definitely return.
View on GoogleVisited at noon. I didn't know it was a buffet, but my friend absolutely had to try it. I have to say, it was all very "normal." Nothing bad, but it didn't impress me much.
View on GoogleFun place with friendly staff! We got the buffet course (90min) for 1,222 yen per person. The curries were tasty but I wish the deep fried bread (naan) was more hot and fresh. My favorite was the pork and pumpkin curry! The chai was also delicious with a deep, rich creamy milk. The staff also played music and paraded through the restaurant (for someone’s birthday?) Seems like a fun place to book a party 🙂
