Really nice interior and vibes. The salmon salad was pretty bland and too small for its prices. I would’ve liked more flavours and different elements. You also had to order a drink which started at 600 yen.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at this café, which felt tinged with unfriendly and discriminatory treatment. Among over 100 cafés in that area, we chose this one for a short rest after a long shopping day and an urgent overseas business call. Shortly after my husband began his call, the store’s music was suddenly turned up to an uncomfortably loud volume, forcing him to continue the call at the roadside outside the cafe while I waited in line for two drinks. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte and a beer, only to be told that they had run out of strawberries, a surprising claim, considering strawberries are a staple ingredient in their signature desserts. After waiting more than 35 minutes, our drinks finally arrived. A diluted matcha latte lacking both flavor and richness, and a bottle of beer. During this time, I observed staff repeatedly removing packs of strawberries from the fridge, making the earlier excuse feel unacceptable. To make matters worse, a local customer who arrived after us was served before we received our drinks. Overall, the combination of poor service, long delays, and what appeared to be preferential treatment made this visit extremely frustrating and uncomfortable. This café does not feel inclusive or customer-friendly for non-locals.

Very slow service at Kappa Shibuya. We had to wait at least 30 minutes, which was frustrating and affected the overall experience. Our order is just 1 latte and 1 beer. Not more than 10 customers in the shop. To be exact 8 customers... :(

I visited Maison Kappa for lunch around 1 pm, but many of their signature items, including the “Acai Bowl,” were already sold out. The service was decent, and it’s a pleasant spot to eat—if only they had the items they promote as the “best ever.” One drawback: they only accept card or contactless payment. Since many tourists still prefer cash, offering that option would be helpful. Additionally, the menu could be more detailed; for example, the “Cool as a Cucumber” doesn’t mention it includes egg (the images are also misleading) and the “Acai Bowl” doesn’t list its fruits. For allergy considerations, or those pregnant having this information is essential. Finally, portion sizes are a bit smaller than average.

My favorite bar! The owner was so nice! And the drinks were amazing! I can’t wait to see you next time!
