We tried Joto Curry in Shibuya last March, and it was our first taste of Japanese curry, we absolutely loved it! The curry was rich, flavourful, and seriously delicious. Their pickled scallion bulbs were the perfect accompaniment. Joto Curry is the bomb! 🍛 1-3 when we queue around 2PM. they only accept cash.
View on GoogleYou know a place is good when there is a crowd waiting outside. I decided to wait, and the food absolutely lived up to expectations. The queue can be quite long during the lunch rush-I waited for about 20 minutes to get a table. Food: Highly recommended. The katsu has a great crispy crust and the melted cheese on top is perfect. The portion is very generous, and they provide condiments like chili flakes and pickles so you can adjust the flavor to your liking.
View on Google🍛✨ The curry was rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion size was quite generous, making it a filling meal. While the price was on the higher side, the quality and portion helped justify the cost. The restaurant itself is relatively small with limited seating, but fortunately, I didn't have to wait long for a table when I visited. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with extra cheese. The cutlet was nicely fried with a crispy coating, and the pork had a pleasant texture—tender enough to enjoy while still having a bit of bite. The cheese paired well with the rich curry sauce and added extra flavor to the dish. Overall, it was a good curry experience and worth trying if you're a fan of Japanese curry.
View on GoogleGo to destination for anyone craving authentic Kansai style Japanese curry! Renowned for its signature rich sauce, it delivers a delicious balance of sweet, savory, and deep spicy notes. Deliciously Complex Curry Sauce: The curry gravy starts with a subtle, rich sweetness on the first bite, followed by a satisfying, warming spicy kick that keeps you reaching for the next spoon. Crispy, Perfect Toppings: Their signature tonkatsu (pork cutlet) and other crispy toppings are cooked fresh to order, offering a wonderfully crunchy texture that pairs brilliantly with the smooth, thick curry sauce. Quick & Satisfying Meal: The fast, efficient service and cozy, counter-style shop atmosphere make it an easy, deeply comforting stop for a quick lunch or dinner.
View on GoogleWe had the prawn curry, katsu curry (no 1 recommended) and katsu & cheese curry. The curry was soooo delicious!! It was the perfect balance of heat and flavour and had little pieces of beef scattered throughout. Prawns were crunchy and had the right amount of batter. Large portion of rice. Food was served less than 2 minutes of seating. Condiments available: pickled radish and garlic (pickled radish went really well with the curry, cut through the heaviness). Highly recommend!!
