First time trying Motsunabe in my life, the taste pretty bland to be honest. Other than that is fine. 3/5 review for me

The mentaiko motsu nabe was very delicious and perfect for a winter warmer. People who aren't a crazy fan of motsu can still enjoy as there is no smell and the motsu here was very fresh. A must try especially if you are here during winter. The place gets very busy so I recommend booking in advance. The atmosphere is very cosy also.

The other day, I went to Hakata Motsuraku's Shibuya branch. We'd gone to a dessert bar first, so when my friend requested a main meal, we decided on motsunabe. We tried the deluxe version topped with mentaiko. The motsu was springy and quite large, so it was really delicious. There weren't that many ingredients, but the cabbage pieces were big, making it filling and tasty. The early last order was a little disappointing, but the flavor was incredibly good, so I recommend it!

Today was my friend's birthday, so we went to Motsuraku in Udagawacho! This place serves motsunabe topped with mentaiko. The menu focuses on mentaiko and has lots of Kyushu dishes! We ordered the mentaiko and tororo motsunabe! The toriten, mentaiko potato salad, chicken skin with ponzu, and everything else were delicious too! And amazingly, you can even have horse liver sashimi! All the basashi is fresh too, and I recommend it! The restaurant is also super popular; we went in at 20:00 today, and apparently it was fully booked until 22:00! For birthdays, they serve a birthday motsunabe lol.
