We had late dinner at this restaurant after shopping and the premise was full at 10pm! Ordered a variety of food and they came quick after our order. We had sashimi, grilled fish, crab,, crab roe, scallops, prawns, squid and sushi. Overall, the food was acceptable given the availability at late hours but everything was a little salty. Drinks were somewhat overpriced and they don’t allow outside drinks to be brought in. This restaurant is more of a place to go after regular hours to satisfy your craving for seafood but don’t expect top quality and delectable food.

Isomaru Suisan in Udagawacho is a reliable constant in the otherwise chaotic rhythm of Shibuya. The convenience of their location and 24-hour accessibility provides a sense of steadiness, whether you are a local or just passing through. The dining experience is efficient—the QR code ordering system removes friction, allowing you to focus on the meal rather than the mechanics of service. While it isn't an exercise in high-end refinement, the seafood is fairly priced and consistently decent, offering a genuine, welcoming atmosphere that feels democratic and unpretentious. It serves its purpose well: providing a comfortable, grounded space to eat, observe, and simply be, regardless of the hour. I need to revisit to try all the other items on the menu.

Was here last night and it was pretty busy! Smelled great though but the seats were a bit uncomfortable and the tables were a bit sticky. However the food was great! A couple things I ordered I might not order again cause it was a bit bland in flavour but the crab miso shell and the crab fried rice were really good and combined, flavour explosion! I do plan to go back and will likely try the other grilled seafood options! Oh yea also had a sea bream head which was good for the price! Only bad thing is they don't serve you water I think? And the drinks are expensiveeeeee (non-alcoholic anyway). Atmosphere is great! Was here around 8-9pm. Edit: Came back another time...2-3 weeks later ?And got the 3 grilled shellfish, deep fried squid tentacles, and the crab roe bread. The bread was really good but a lot smaller and looked very different than what was on the menu. The deep fried squid tentacles was okay, the shellfish was okay too but I wasn't sure how to eat the conk shell one and it was so bitter I had to spit it out.

Nice place to eat, unique dishes like crab kourayaki and nicely grilled seafood for relatively good prices. There is in app ordering through web app in various languages which was great for tourists, however would be better if there was more orientation on wat to do and how to self-service or cook the food - what was considered already cooked

The service was excellent! The foreign staff member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. He patiently showed us how to grill the seafood properly and made sure everything was cooked just right. We really appreciated his warm attitude and excellent service. Highly recommended! 🌟
