Proper old style kissaten a few minutes from Shibuya Station, on the quieter Sakuragaoka side. The coffee is hand dripped and brought to your table, and the thick baked souffle pancakes are what they are known for. Nobody rushes you here, which is rare this close to the station. Thank you for the hospitality. Five stars.

I was seated right away and got the most amazing pancake. The coffee was delicious and has an interesting taste. I can only assume it's because they roast their beans over an open flame

Cute diner with great black decaf coffee and decent thicker pancakes, but not the iconic fluffy pancakes. We swung by for a quick breakfast. They have an English menu, and we ordered their savory pancake set and French toast set for 1970 JPY. I got a cup of their decaf drip coffee, which was surprisingly smooth. Their French toast uses thick Texas toast, and their pancakes are a thicker, denser batter. The fried egg was good!

This restaurant is very cute from the outside. We ordered several dishes, but the staff seems to make many mistakes. It had to take 3 rounds before we got our food for everyone, when we where ordering twice a meal, they keep delivering 1 portion. Besides this, the sandwiches where ok, and the fluffy pancake was delicious.

The soufflé cake was fairly average. Since the table turnover is low, it may be better to visit another Hoshino Coffee location if the café is already full. The male staff’s service was not particularly friendly.
