A long standing no nonsense ramen shop. First floor standing room only. Second floor and above narrow counter seats with great views. Pork bone based ramen with a slight hint of funk with plenty of back fat. Please note they only serve cold tea here. No other drinks including water. Hot towels are available but no napkins or bibs. Ladies, do not wear fancy clothes. You will need the dry cleaners afterwards. Bring napkins, hair ties and disposable bibs (Amazon). Soak in the rich flavors, local eaters and revel in being the only foreigners in the whole joint.
View on GoogleOpen 24 hours! I once showed up here at 7am after an overnight drive and ate standing up at the ground floor counter with taxi drivers. Another time we ate sitting down on the 2nd floor and although it was a different experience, it was just as delicious. The broth is very rich, fatty and tasty. The noodles are thicker and made in-house. There are bowls of garlic and a red spicy sauce that you can load up on and you can customize your order as I did, preferring no bean sprouts.
View on GoogleI went here specifically because this place is mentioned in a Murakami novel. This place primarily caters to locals but is tourist friendly. The token machine has an English option and the staff are happy to guide you. The ramen tasted fantastic - it was rich and flavorful yet light. You have the option of adding green onions, hot chili paste or garlic paste at the counter. Highly recommend.
View on GoogleAmazing place to grab very early breakfast. Do note their large size noodles are extra large in comparison with other shops. I couldn't finish the large noodle serving
View on GoogleThis ramen is very good and delicious pork broth. I was walking hone on evening and I stumbled upon this place. Usually this whole area is very quiet during the weekdays at around 8pm so I was very surprised to see a ramen place here. I seized the opportunity to get myself a bowl and I was very satisfied afterwards. Price is around 1000 yen per bowl but there are many options.
