This is one of the best bbq places I’ve been to. The food was really good and atmosphere was okay. We loved all the food here. At first I’ve been skeptical about the ventilation here after reading reviews but they seems to have change it so the air ventilation was okay too. The staff was Sri Lankan and unlike most of the places they were friendly and welcoming. Their service was okay too.

Food quality is very good and prices are also reasonable. At this place, coals are used for the yakiniku. The Bibimbap is very good. The only problem is the air ventilation, especially when the door is left open.

Experience the essence of spice-infused yakiniku in the backstreets of Shinsen. An inventive offal tavern bringing together Sri Lankan aromas and its signature ネギ飯. This offal specialty restaurant is tucked away in a backstreet of the Shinsen area, about an 8-minute walk from Shibuya Station. Inside, it has the lively, down-to-earth energy of a yakiniku restaurant, with a dynamic cooking style using iron plates and aluminum trays. The fragrant smell of sizzling soy sauce and the sounds of grilling stimulate the appetite. Staff replace the grilling mesh promptly and give precise instructions on cooking each cut and creative dish. It's a useful spot for casual meals with friends or evenings when you want slightly more adventurous flavors. Alongside classic offal and lean meat, the appeal lies in its inventive à la carte selection incorporating Sri Lankan spices. ・Appetizer (roughly chopped cabbage) & black oolong tea Fresh, roughly chopped cabbage is served as the appetizer, making a pleasant start to the meal. Sipping black oolong tea between dishes resets the palate after the spices and fat. ・ネギ飯 (with egg, real wasabi, and sesame) A rice dish so accomplished it's a must-try. The mellow richness of egg, fragrant green onion, and refined, refreshing heat of real wasabi bring out the rice's natural sweetness to the fullest. It's excellent alongside meat but also has enough presence to be a star on its own. ・牛タンのスリランカカレーバター焼き & マッシュ焼き “牛タンのスリランカカレーバター焼き” features medium-thick slices of beef tongue heated with chopped garlic and butter in an aluminum tray, finished with a drizzle of soy sauce for a fragrant sear. Garlic, browned soy sauce, and spices come together for a powerful first bite. “マッシュ焼き” combines large mushrooms with an original curry spice blend; the piping-hot mushroom broth pooling inside the caps delivers a uniquely savory flavor. ・ハラミにんにく爆弾焼 A creative meat dish placed on the grill in a rounded, three-dimensional shape, enclosing plenty of salted green onions. Squeezing lemon over it after grilling harmonizes the strong garlic punch and savory salted onions while giving the finish a surprisingly sharp freshness. ・極上和牛ホルモン(スリランカデビル) Offal coated in vivid spices. The sweetness of high-quality fat alternates with the stimulating heat characteristic of Sri Lankan spices, creating an addictive flavor that keeps the drinks flowing. ・ネギクマ & ジンギスカン風スパイス焼肉 The skillful use of spices is remarkable, from the signature “ネギクマ” to “ジンギスカン風スパイス焼肉,” where fragrant spices enhance the lamb's flavor. This accomplished restaurant combines the approachable feel of a neighborhood offal tavern with a distinctive identity built on Sri Lankan spices. The changes in seasoning intensity, dynamic presentation, and kind support from the staff make the meal even more satisfying. A standout restaurant I can confidently recommend for evenings when you want distinctive, punchy yakiniku in Shinsen. Thank you for the meal.
