A decent place to chill in if you want to escape Tokyo's summer heat for a while ☀️ Feeling very tired from my walk, I decided to enter Hohokam Diner since it wasn't too far from where I was. The entire restaurant is American themed and suprisingly very spacious! The AC is also quite cold so it was a good place to take a rest in. However, I would say that the food and drinks are just okay! The coffee was decent and wasn't too light. The apple pie was a bit too stale for me and I had some trouble cutting it with a knife. It wasn't very warm either so I did wonder if they heated it up or not 🤔 Although, I think this place would probably do savory food much better like burgers and fried chicken! I recommend getting those items instead of ordering a cake. The service was excellent and the staff greeted me with a kind smile 🫶 I also like that you can place orders via a QR code, it was very convenient! Also, they have a lot of cute merch here 🤩 So if you do end up loving the food, I suggest buying some merch to take home with you! :)

As an American touring Harajuku, especially with a 7 year old picky boy-son, this is THE place. They have incredible takes on classic American dishes, including burgers, pancakes, and beer. Not many places have a comfort home-style food selection. Plenty of places to sit (we had 5 people) and were accommodated without wait at peak dinner hours. Staff is lovely as well!

I wouldn’t order from this place for take out or delivery. The food is mediocre at best but they still find it appropriate to charge high prices. The wings are barely sauced and aren’t even an appetizing color. What’s worse is that the owner or their cook decided it was ethical to say 10 piece wings but it’s actually the flats split in half… I don’t know what sauce they added with the wings but as if their cheapness couldn’t get any worse, it’s like ranch or blue cheese that they flooded with water so it pretty much just looked like milk. It was so messy but you can see some of the residue in the top left corner of the container for the wings The calamari was also far below satisfactory. It’s like they used the stalest freezer burnt squid they could find…are you rehydrating Surume or something? 😂 You can take a look at the photos for yourself

This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Japan. However my intention was to share the sandwich with my girlfriend but they said everyone must order something. So why tried to order a piece of chicken, but they said no to that so we ordered a drink. Anyway, I do recommend this place because their sandwiches are great. This place if you’re a must if you’re in the area.

American style diner with cute interior and merchandise. Had the honey cheese burger with fries. Tokyo has plenty of superb burger places and this place is yet another one.
