A Japanese friend came with us to this place. The chicken pot is definitely good. Even plain cabbage tastes really good in it. Price is sort of on the higher end as pointed out by other reviews... Overall I still like the experience.

I had a fantastic experience! The mizutaki chicken hot pot was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and comforting. The service was truly unforgettable, welcoming and attentive from start to finish. They also have English menus available if needed, which was very helpful. Highly recommended!

I'm a foreigner that has came back here repeatedly over 10+ years. For lunch they serve one of the best oyako dons you can find in Japan for a very reasonable price. Juicy chicken, runny egg and egg yolk every time. Just note that they run differently for dinner which seems to be what the negative reviews are for. Lunch is definitely a 5 star.

Chicken sashimi, yes please. Very flavorful chicken sashimi and good grilled chicken too. The master griller is bias towards non Japanese, so do take note of his unwelcome expression. But we can't blame them sometimes. They can't speak English so it is also hard for both of parties to communicate too. We were seated upstairs with this really cheerful, energetic young server and he tries his best to speak English serving us, kudos to him. If you are adventurous with food, this is definitely a place worth to go to to get their chicken sashimi.

This is a very nice chicken-focused restaurant close to the station. The first floor is a single counter that is usually full at lunchtime. I went around 1 o'clock and only had to wait around 5 minutes or so for a spot to open. There are only 3 lunch dishes: soba, oyakodon, and chicken nanban. I had the oyakodon, which was wonderful but not quite as good as Tamahide. The chicken soup is worth the little bit extra. The whole meal was only about ¥950!
