The Final Stroke of the Night. In a city like Shibuya, where every night is a chaotic collage of neon lights, craft cocktails, and complex conversations, I find myself craving the ultimate subtraction. I don't need a masterpiece decorated with truffles or gold flakes. I need a "Full Stop." Hakata Tenjin offers exactly that: • The Clarity of White: A simple, milky pork bone broth that washes away the sensory overload of the city. • The Beauty of Speed: No waiting, no pretension. Just a bowl placed before you in seconds—a stark contrast to the slow, heavy pace of a long night. • The Ritual of Reset: With each slurp of the thin, firm noodles, the noise of the world fades. It is a return to basics. It is not just a meal; it is a spiritual detox. After the "Additions" of the day, this 700-yen bowl is the perfect "Subtraction" to end the story of my night. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. ---

We were craving tonkotsu ramen and were drawn in by its casual/classic decor. Its menu was very simple a tonkotsu broth or a miso broth and both were amazing and rich in flavour. You could add extra toppings and customise it to your preference with garlic or different pickles however the original broth itself didn’t need any altering. If you’re down for a quick meal with cheap beers in shibuya this is the place to be!

Came back here after 10 years, and nothing has changed — in the best way possible! Don’t let the old and slightly shabby exterior fool you — this place is a real hidden gem. The ramen here is incredible, especially the miso ramen, which is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. You can tell they’ve been doing this for years and know exactly what they’re doing. Prices are super affordable for Tokyo, and the portions are generous. It’s one of those no-frills local spots that focuses purely on taste — and they absolutely deliver. Highly recommended if you want authentic, delicious ramen without spending much!

Has become a tradition for us when coming to Japan. It’s the most creamy and flavorful broth. Best ramen I’ve had in Japan and it’s a must try!

This is my fourth visit to Japan, and every time, I make it a point to visit this ramen shop,it’s just that good! The ramen is consistently amazing, with a rich and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh toppings like green onions, seaweed, and tender chashu pork. What makes this place extra special is its very traditional and nostalgic vibe . The cozy atmosphere takes you back in time and adds so much charm to the dining experience. I also love the variety of condiments they provide, letting you customize your bowl to your liking. The service is friendly and efficient, making it an all-around fantastic experience. If you’re looking for authentic, traditional ramen with a touch of nostalgia, this shop is a must visit. Can’t wait to come back again!
