This restaurant is one of the few places in Japan where you can eat Bhutanese food. In Bhutanese cuisine, chili is considered as a vegetable rather than a spice, and it is cooked as a main dish and eaten with rice. 🌶 Of course it is very spicy because they use a lot of chili, but you can taste the meat and cheese in the spiciness and it is very tasty.🌶 This dish is traditional, yet very innovative, as you can directly feel the taste and texture of the chili peppers.🌶🌶 I encourage everyone to try Bhutanese home cooking.🌶

Nice restaurant in a quiet neighborhood offering authentic Bhutanese food, quite hard to find. I sampled the Kewa Datshi, a milder form of the national dish Ema Datshi featuring potatoes, and some tea, and found both to be delicious. The combination of the cheese and spice makes a flavor combination familiar yet exotic. My partner had the Phagsha Pa and enjoyed it as well. If you enjoy Mexican or Japanese food, you’ll find a bit of overlap in the flavor profiles. I highly recommend it.

Nice to know there is a Bhutanese restaurant in Tokyo. Menu is very limited but the food is reasonably tasty. Nothing really amazing, but good.

I was so excited to try this place but I will say it was disappointing and a complete miss as a client. Very average as an experience with particular seasoning… not for everyone’s palate and I really love spicy food. Staff were polite but service was slow. We were in that restaurant for almost 2 hours and we had a set menu . The set menu portion were small and was spicy and had its kicks. Each plate were either a hit or miss but I particularly liked the pork belly plate and the tea at the end. Regarding the price, it’s not cheap given the small portion. The set menu for 2 was described at 3800Y but little did we know that you get charged double as you are a duo. For us, it felt weird that we paid such a premium price but the portion were so small such as a mini curry soup that is intended to be shared but would barely feed 1 person. Honestly pretty disappointing and I wouldn’t go back despite the food being alright (it’s just not wow or amazing)

I really wanted to like this place - from what I can tell, it’s the only Bhutanese restaurant in Tokyo - but my experience here wasn’t very good. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and placed our order just a couple minutes after being seated. After that, we got our drinks about 45 minutes later and our salad showed up over 1 hour after sitting down. The server forgot to give us any utensils, however; so, we had to wait another 5 minutes until someone came up to the second floor again. It was then another 30 minutes before our first main dish and like 20 minutes after that until our final dish. In all, we waited 1-1.5 hours before we actually had our food. The staff were very polite and hardworking - no question there - but they seemed completely overstretched with a group on the third floor that kept asking for more food and drinks. If I were to come back on a different night, it might be a completely different experience and I don’t have anything bad to say about the food - the chili and cheese stew honestly was quite good! That being said, waiting 1-1.5 hours after being seated before we actually had anything we ordered unfortunately didn’t really make this an enjoyable experience.
