Very friendly staff. To understand the menu at first is a bit difficult, but the staff went out of their way to explain. Once you have ordered they will assist to cook the Monjayaki at your table. Just brilliant very nice for an interactive family dinner.
View on GoogleIt was a very great experience for foreigners to eat authentic JP food. Only saw it in the movies previously, and this time I tried in person. It’s fun to see how it was cooked. Ken from the restaurant was so helpful, he explained the menu, the whole process and helped me cook it. The restaurant has both English and Chinese menu, also supports wallet like Alipay and WeChatPay. 100% recommended!
View on Googlestumbled upon Monja Okonomiyaki while exploring Shibuya’s backstreets, and it turned out to be one of my favorite meals in Tokyo. The cozy, retro atmosphere feels genuinely local – away from the tourist crowds. We ordered the classic mix okonomiyaki and a monjayaki with cheese and mochi. Watching the staff cook it on the teppan right in front of us was a treat. The okonomiyaki was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The monjayaki took a bit of practice to eat (use that tiny spatula!), but it was deliciously gooey and savory. Great selection of drinks, too – the highballs pair perfectly. Staff were super friendly and patiently guided us through the menu and cooking process. If you want an authentic, hands-on Japanese comfort food experience in Shibuya, don’t miss Monja. Just look for the small entrance – it’s worth finding!
View on GoogleHad a wonderful meal here with amazing and friendly service. Keita taught me how to properly make Monja, and I think it’s actually somehow topped okonomiyaki for me! I’m absolutely going to be back next time I visit Tokyo. Thank you Keita!!
