Secret basement event space gallery! For some reason I always end up walking in circles down here in the B1 level until I finally look at the dang map on the wall next to the escalators and do my best to find this place. Don't give up! Kinda a pain to track down though. It is an odd place to have a gallery / rental space though, because there's nothing but restaurants down here! So many different smells assaulted my nostrils while I wandered through the low-ceilinged and dimly lit corridors like a character in a Haruki Murakami novel until finally finding the dang place. Good thing they are usually open until 8 or 9pm. This group show was wild and fun and cool though, and the organizers have made the most of what is just a square room. PYA fes! Good times, good times. Don't miss Oil gallery up on floor 2 and the crazy other stuff that PARCO has to offer on the upper floors. Nintendo, Pokemon, Shonen Jump, Capcom, SEGA and more! Have fun exploring!
View on GoogleQuite small and overly packed, particularly with the Mob Psycho exhibition. Some management needs to be done with the number of people who enter the gallery. It was difficult to move around. Other than that, the pieces that they had on display were amazing nonetheless.
View on GoogleI went there for Tom of Finland exhibit. It was smaller than I had expected, but I am still glad I went. It’s not just about gay art but it is advocacy and is about getting your voice hard. The best part for me was reading Tom’s quotes written on the walls. Highly recommend no matter what your sexual orientation is.
View on GoogleThis was a very enjoyable gallery to take a look at, it was an entire store/gallery dedicated to the anime known as FLCL. It's very interactive friendly, you can try out the motocycle helmet and watch projective video clips of the anime Fooly Cooly. You also have a table where you can sit and admire the drawings done for the anime. The only thing that wasn't at par with the gallery and wasn't pleasant was the customer service. I bought a t-shirt and a hat at ¥7,000 and basically was rushed out. My cashier didn't care and was transactional as it could get. And I was the only one in line and at the gallery. Overview: visually pleasing, poor customer service, limited woredrobe, amazing music.
