⭐ Review: Gagana Ramen Shibuya (渋谷・ガガナラーメン 極) Located a short walk from Shibuya Station, Gagana Ramen offers a unique take on Tokyo’s ramen scene with its focus on ホルモン (horumon/offal)-style dishes alongside more traditional ramen and tsukemen. 👨🍳 Flavor & Taste The standout here is the hormone tsukemen and horumon ramen, where richly seasoned grilled Japanese beef offal is paired with a flavorful broth and chewy noodles. Reviewers often highlight how the depth of the broth and the juiciness of the hormone creates an enjoyable umami hit, with options to customize flavor (like adding lemon or garlic) for a nice taste change mid-bowl. 🍜 Texture & Noodles The noodles hold up well against the hearty soup and toppings — chewy and satisfying, though some diners feel they’re more standard than artisanal. 🍲 Variety & Menu Beyond the signature hormone dishes, there are other ramen bowls including seafood and tonkotsu-style options, so it’s not one-note. The menu also allows you to choose noodle thickness and toppings. 💡 Atmosphere & Service It’s a cozy, casual ramen spot with mostly counter seating. Service is friendly, though some reviews note it’s not particularly fast or highly polished beyond the basics. 💰 Value Prices are reasonable for Shibuya, generally around ¥900–¥1,200 for main bowls, though some feel it’s a touch pricey for what you get. 🎯 Overall Impression Gagana Ramen is a fun and flavorful stop if you’re curious about horumon-style ramen or want something a little different in Shibuya’s ramen landscape. It’s especially recommended for those who like hearty, umami-rich broths and aren’t afraid of bold ingredients. At around a 3.4–3.9 average rating, opinions vary — many enjoy the hearty broth and unique toppings, while some feel the base ramen could be more distinctive.
View on GoogleThe best ramen and the broth, this is amazing, they don’t speak English, but the machine were you order does, so it’s really easy, I can’t believe the price this is so cheap for such great quality food. It’s a small place, but in Tokyo everything is small so it’s normal. Would recommend and go back 100% , 10/10 experience
View on GoogleI like, besides is a very small place to eat the menu is quite unique and I highly recommend for noodle lovers. Price average, the food amount is satisfactory and the taste is very unique. One of my favorite places to eat in Shibuya so far.
View on GoogleCozy, clean, thick-broth, thick-noodle ramen shop - good option for lunch if you're in the area. Broth is thick and medium on the flavor. Pairs better with the beef tripe that this place is known for. You can sub trip with regular cha-shu, whcih is what I did. Noodle firmness is spot on - cooked but still chewy. Kitchen is clean. Dining area is clean. This place is worth putting on your list of place you want to try eventually when you're in the area (12 minute walk from Shibuya JR station). I would.cole again and recommend to a friend. Menu is simple but has good variety.
View on GoogleFound this place while looking for dinner. The noodles are great. There's some variety in the ramen, and the gyoza was great too. Staff was very accommodating and helped us through the ordering process. Vibes were great, 10/10.
