Newly opened restaurant, passed by and randomly give it a try. Food in general is great not yet super impressive. Grilled chicken liver is great, we also love the recommended uni with ikura pasta, the Japanese pasta mixed with pesto that interestingly fit with the traditional toppings. Nice little place to try out, the entrance is facing the street.

View on Google【Easygoing, accessible French dining for everyone】 ■ Atmosphere and occasions I casually dropped by 「大衆酒場 フレンチマン」 on the 1st floor of 渋谷サクラステージ on a holiday afternoon. The restaurant is tucked a little farther inside the floor, so first-time visitors might wonder, “Where is it?” But perhaps thanks to that, it isn't overly noisy and feels like a relaxed hidden spot that's easy to drop into. The interior is a casual space that truly combines a “popular neighborhood pub” with “French cuisine.” It's versatile and perfect for a quick drink alone or enjoying drinks with close friends. ■ Thoughts on the food and points to consider This time I ordered several dishes that caught my attention. Rather than formal, traditional French cuisine, it felt like approachable “creative French cuisine” adapted to go well with drinks. Considering the price range, I found the food plenty satisfying! One particularly lovely feature was that the menu clearly listed recommended wines for each dish. It's a welcome touch that lets even people unfamiliar with wine enjoy intuitive pairings. One thing to bear in mind, though, is that “you might feel a little let down if you go expecting authentic, classic French cuisine.” I think it's best enjoyed casually as food to accompany drinks. ■ Value and “who it's recommended for” Its biggest attraction is definitely its affordability! They offer a good-value happy hour on weekday afternoons in particular, making it irresistible for anyone wanting inexpensive daytime drinks. ・Who should avoid it People who want to take their time enjoying luxurious, authentic French cuisine People looking for a quiet, romantic date spot ・Who should go People who want “inexpensive, easygoing drinks with delicious creative dishes” Wine beginners who want to casually try food and wine pairings
View on GoogleI visited hoping it would be inexpensive and delicious, but unfortunately I didn't come away thinking, wow, that's delicious. It made me think how difficult running a restaurant must be. None of the dishes were particularly bad, but with the charcuterie, I wished the cured ham and pâté were a little better quality; the anchovy cabbage sauce tasted a bit vague, and bringing out the anchovy more might give it clearer definition; the carrot râpée also had an unmemorable flavor, and adding a little cumin seed might give it more depth, and so on. It felt like each dish needed one more round of refinement. If there were someone like a head chef with strict standards for menu development, they would probably reject all of them and require a little more improvement before allowing them onto the menu That was the level of quality. I had a similar impression at 俺のフレンチ, which I visited recently. Still, it is by no means a bad restaurant, and I think it's perfectly fine for casually drinking reasonably priced wine with the food serving mainly as snacks.
