We loved Flipper’s in New York City, so trying the Tokyo location was a must. To join the waitlist, simply queue at the machine and you’ll receive an email notification when your table is ready. Our wait was a little over 40 minutes, but it flew by since we spent the time browsing the nearby shops. The menu has some slight differences from the NYC location, but everything was just as delicious. The pancakes were perfectly light, airy, and fluffy. The fried chicken was surprisingly moist and juicy—we honestly wished it was available as a side order because we would have happily ordered more. The fries were great, the seasonal matcha pancake was fun to try, and the drinks were creative and enjoyable. Definitely worth the wait.

This restaurant was amazing! The decor inside the restaurant was cute. Since we had 8 people, we were seated inside a private room. Once we ordered our meal, it took awhile for the pancakes to be ready, maybe about 30 minutes. The presentation of the pancakes looked like an art piece, but we couldn't wait to dig in. The fluffy pancakes were so delicate and soft when you put it inside your mouth. It tasted delicious with fruit as well. The matcha pancakes were ok, it looked better than it tasted. My kids enjoyed the fried chicken as well. It was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Overall, one of the best Japanese souffle pancakes we tasted in Tokyo. If you love good food and love taking instagram pictures, give this place a try. Just a tip, make reservations or the wait can be hours.

We had a great time here: the pancakes are unlike anything I've eaten elsewhere! They're 'viral' for a reason, with an unique texture. There was a slightly staid atmosphere. We picked up a ticket for the table, went to the department store across the road to do some shopping, then returned for our food. The table was ready in about half an hour. Some of the other guests just waited in the dining room, so felt a bit like we were being expectantly gawked at while we ate.

Personally think it’s overrated. The pancakes are really lovely and the food overall was beautiful. However, it’s not super filling being soufflé pancakes.. kinda feels like you’re eating air 😂 delicious but only worth going if you’re not waiting hours in line. But beautiful venue and staff were lovely. Waited 2+ hours. Got the ticket and came back after some exploring. Just plan your day to make it worth it

Visiting from SF & my daughter was missing pancakes so she looked up this place and my oh my was the wait long but worth it!? ABSOLUTELY!! I will wait in line over and over again for these fluffy pancakes!! Everything ordered and presented was magnificent! Planning my next trip back already!
