I had been to the original location and had their biryani do wanted to check this place out too. It’s a more upscale atmosphere for sure, with a nice ambiance and bar. I still ordered the chicken biryani and it was excellent, but the portion was not as big. Regardless, it’s still worth a try. The service was fast and staff were friendly.
View on GoogleEric South is a highly recommended South Indian restaurant offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Their non-vegetarian meals set (meals) is especially outstanding. This particular branch is part of the Eric South chain, whose main location is in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall at Tokyo Station. The main branch there is usually very crowded, and you often have to wait in line to get in. However, this branch allows you to enter smoothly without much waiting. The menu mainly features South Indian curries, along with daily special curries, all of which are truly delicious. Lunch, in particular, is very reasonably priced. The restaurant is also conveniently located within walking distance from JR Shibuya Station, JR Harajuku Station, and Tokyo Metro Meiji-Jingumae (Harajuku) Station, making it easy to access.
View on GoogleNice restaurant, with reasonable prices. Some of the dishes were really authentic. We got the mild curries sampler and ghee roast dosa! We really enjoyed the experience and found it very pleasant!
View on GoogleThe restaurant offers a pleasant, versatile ambience that works equally well for a romantic date or a relaxed dinner with friends. However, the kitchen’s output is a bit of a mixed bag. While the mutton gravy was the undeniable star—boasting rich flavor and a generous portion size perfect for pairing with roti—other dishes fell short. The chicken biryani, though flavorful, was stingy with only two pieces of meat, and the Gobi 65 was disappointingly bland. Ultimately, the experience was "okayish" for the price; you’re paying for a lovely atmosphere, but the culinary consistency hasn't quite caught up yet.
View on GoogleFor an Indian, taste was nothing like the Indian food... Quality was fantastic, taste was not. Dosa was good, biryani was terrible
