Relaxed coffee shop with an industrial vibe, showcasing specialty coffees & pastries.

Opened as a sister store to Glitch Coffee. All the coffee served is specialty coffee, in a three-story building with large windows, and an exterior where the shop logo is beautifully illuminated at night. On the 1st floor, you can enjoy the careful extraction process while asking the barista for recommendations, and the 2nd and 3rd floors have plenty of seating. Provides a comfortable space with a cup of coffee that overturns the image of coffee and the homey, calm atmosphere unique to COUNTERPART.

Their black coffee was an excellent showcase of their skillful roasting and brewing. With a bold yet smooth flavor, it had a delightful balance of bitterness and depth that lingered pleasantly after each sip. The industrial-chic decor of the cafe, featuring minimalist concrete walls and warm lighting, added a unique charm to the experience. The quirky wall art and cozy seating make it a great spot for a quiet coffee break in the city😍

This place has one of the best coffee selections I have been too with fresh beans. Each cup of coffee is hand crafted with love by the owners. The owners are also super sweet and loving people. If you get the chance you should have a conversation with them. It is the best atmosphere I have been to in Japan. 8/30/24 review: Still as great as ever still highly recommended this place?

What a gem to find this specialty coffee shop here. Warm, friendly welcome. Served up 2 pour overs for us, we had the Yirgacheffe Aricha and Colombia Huila Monteblanco which was the star of the show. Such an incredible cup of coffee, which she had told me beforehand that it was the best and I have to agree; best I’ve had in Japan. Crisp, smooth throughout but particularly in the finish and juicy notes throughout. I’d go back again and again while they have this roast. Ambience is great, and we loved the little seating area with a view. Highly recommended to stop in for a specialty cup of coffee.

Super small joint on 3 floors. But the coffee is exceptional. There is not much around here and this place stands out. A bit serene with a soft jazz tune in the background. Feels like the quintessential Japanese coffee craftsmanship has set in here.

One of the better coffees I've had in a long while! The person who made the coffee was an artist and also very friendly :) The beans are good, they are roasted perfectly and the milk was the right temperature. What more could you want?
