An English like cafe away from the Harajuku chaos 😙 Feels like an old school kissatten Relaxing music playing music 🎵 What caught my eye was them selling an English breakfast 🍳 for 960 that include a drink 🥃 They also had another morning set with eggs and toast and a drink for 600 - wow! (Until 2pm) Anyway I came here for the French toast 990 for simple French toast that includes a salad and drink ☕️ The salad is lettuce, corn, croutons, pasta? And some sauce - I would skip this The simple French toast is one giant bread sliced into 3 parts. It has powered sugar on top and is already pretty sweet. No way Syrup is needed although it does come on side. Simple French toast similar to what you can make at home but great with price ✌️ I do wonder what type of bread they use. It’s not brioche but may be some bakery bread 🍞 Would ask without powered sugar and no salad next time It seems mostly only Japanese local people inside cuz I didn’t spot any tourists, despite the menus being mainly in English 😅 Overall pleasantly surprised. I’ve lived nearby so I have passed this place countless times over the last decade 😅 The prices, vibe and English breakfast will make me check it out again 😙✌️
View on GoogleThis is an old fshion tea shop. The decoration is vintage.... nice and coasy. The staff are very nice and gentle. The tea, hote chocolate, and matcha latte are really good. The cakes are freshly home made and delicious. The toasts are nice also. Very nice location, and it's possible to sit outside also. This is the right place to have to take a break and relax. I highly recommend it.
View on GoogleApril 2024. Breakfast/tea time in this super nice place. A lot of seat and a very English/japanese ambiance. The food was very good, soft and light. I really really liked their chocolate & banana cake which was delicious, I have to remake it. I still have the taste in my mind. Their hojicha latte was also super good and refreshing. I highly recommend to test those 2 items. The strawberry shortcake was kind of a let down. It was very good as well but lacked more strawberry.
View on GoogleAfter hours of walking, we decided to take a break here at Christie's. This cafe owned by an elderly couple is really an apt place to stop by to rest the tired legs and have a drink. We had the cold lychee drink, coffee, scones and a chestnut cake. The scones were served hot, very nice. Great ambience, nice place. 👍
View on GoogleChristie is a cute cafe in the middle of the madness of Takeshita Street. It's a great cozy cafe with a library feel to it. I ordered egg salad and cucumber sandwiches with iced tea. My friends ordered various iced teas, some that came with little cookies. The sandwiches were really tasty and immaculately presented. The cucumbers were so thinly sliced and the pasta salad that came with my dish was also tasty. The tea was refreshing and served with sugar and milk separately so you can customize to your tastes. The cookies were just OK, but the experience overall was very good.
