The medium spicy tantan noodle was very good! Noodle was chewy and it was not spicy but numbing! The soupless one was better in my opinion because the soup one has a slight acidity you would get in Chinese hotpot. You can also take 3 wonton for free! It is free so don’t expect too much filling.

Wow, I wasn't expecting to get hit with a Sichuan flavor bomb in Japan, but Chinkashisai delivered. We got the knife cut noodles with spicy soup and the dry noodles with sesame sauce, both medium spice. Both were very different but packed with flavor and spice. So delicious and addictive! The noodles are also perfectly chewy and absorbed the flavor well. It was definitely the spiciest food I've had in Japan. The free egg drop corn soup helped soothe the spice. We also got the mapo tofu and saliva chicken add-ons, which definitely weren't necessary in terms of amount of food, but I'm glad we got to try them. The mapo tofu is packed with flavor -- maybe a bit too salty, but would go perfectly with rice or noodles. The saliva chicken was so tender and had great flavor. We didn't come close to finishing all of the food, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my favorite meals in Japan! I'd definitely come back. It was my first time having knife cut noodles with Sichuan flavors -- those were two worlds that were meant to collide for me. This was one of our cheapest meals in Japan (2600 yen for two people, could easily have been under 2000), and one of the best!

This place has amazing food and in large quantities. They make very authentic Chinese food, with all you can eat rice/soup and dumplings self service. Their Mabodofu is amazing! Service is quick and efficient and price very affordable. Highly recommended.

Very delicious new experience. For lunch, i tried the knife-cut noodles in soup and mini mapu tofu set. There was a self-service bar for rice, soup, and gyoza. This was communicated by the server. I was still a bit hesitant as a foreigner to take something since everything is written in japanese. I took some soup, and the server noticed i wasn't comfortable to take more and brought some gyoza. This was a very nice surprise. A phone for translating the menu is a must but not a problem at all. It's definitely worth a visit! Btw as a european who loves spicy food, level 2 was already on the edge of too spicy, so watch out! There are hot oils on the table to make it more spicy when you start with mild. 😋
