A cozy little cafe with a great choice of coffee beans as well as rich tea selection (we saw lemon tea served to someone which looked awesome with freshly pressed lemon juice , unfortunately didn’t try it). The coffee was great (we tried Columbia and Tanzania beans) , both were tasty and not bitter (as expected). The Japanese shiffon cakes (we tried original and chocolate ones) are very fluffy and tender , portions are quite big but are gone very quickly. The coffee cups are also very cute, all are different and pretty! The owner lady is very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is cozy , we would like to come back.
View on Google3 minutes on foot from Hatsudai Station. A coffee shop where you can enjoy authentic coffee in a peaceful setting. This time I ordered Mocha Mattari No.9 Al Makha. A refined flavor with a sweet, vibrant, fruity aroma that gently wafts up. Smooth on the palate, with an exquisite balance of gentle acidity and richness. It's a hidden gem of a cafe, so there aren't many people, and it's lovely to spend some relaxing time here.
View on GoogleAfter an exhibition at Opera City, I looked this place up and found it was 6 minutes away, so I walked over. Unlike its appearance from outside, the interior was very clean. There was a menu outside, and I was surprised to see coffee for ¥500. (Isn't that too cheap…?) I wondered, but the coffee actually served was made with fairly dark-roasted beans ground in a Nice Cut grinder. The grounds bloomed beautifully, so they must have been fresh. Despite the dark roast, there was no harshness on the tongue at all. It went down easily and paired well with the plain chiffon cake I ordered. If I go to Opera City again, stopping here will probably become part of my routine.
View on GoogleA small interior with just 2 tables and counter seats. I stopped by during an opera intermission, and the coffee ☕︎ was delicious, which was nice.
View on GoogleA simply decorated shop serving house-roasted coffee and tea. The coffee lineup is typical of a long-established coffee shop, but offering Al Makha Mocha Mattari shows their dedication. I had the Libre Blend, carefully brewed with fresh beans that bloomed nicely, and enjoyed delicious coffee in a beautiful Wedgwood cup. My impression was that the blend had a high proportion of Brazilian beans, perhaps with a little Guatemala and others. It's a shame the interior doesn't match that level of care.
