This is a nice spot to grab a quick drink (or something sweet to eat) if you are in Shibuya shopping. Great for people watching if you sit in the window seats. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
View on GoogleForeigners surprisingly don’t know this spot. A hidden bar right next to Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Best location + best value. Great atmosphere, cheap beer, and super chill. Highly recommend the ASAHI. 🍺
View on GoogleThis is a revived version of the old Scramble that’s had a facelift. I visited the old version several times and always enjoyed it since it’s close to two train. It’s great place if you want to get a decent priced drink and want to wait for a train or meet with friends. The atmosphere is chill with good music and the staff is attentive and friendly. Now that it’s back, I am certain I will return again.
View on Googleit stinks like a literal toilet, is very expensive, but the drinks tasted fine. the staff was nice tho
View on GoogleI’m not sure why this place has low ratings. A local explained to me that in Japan, a 3-star review can actually mean “pretty good,” 4 stars is “great,” and 5 stars is “exceptional”—a much stricter system than I’m used to. That perspective helped everything make more sense, especially since I haven’t seen many local spots rated close to 5, yet they’re consistently busy and well-loved. This place was no different — it was bustling every time I passed by. The location is super convenient, tucked right under the rail and right next to a busy pedestrian crossing. Despite the crowds, the space was well-managed, and the restroom was small but very clean. That’s not always a given in urban spots, so it stood out to me. The staff were kind, helpful, and attentive. I needed to charge my phone and asked politely, and they had no problem letting me plug in. From my experience, outlets can be hard to come by in cafés throughout Japan, so this was a huge plus. Overall, it’s a solid stop if you’re nearby, especially if you need a break, a bite, or a little kindness from the staff. Don’t let the rating fool you.
