Right after I walked in the door, I knew I made a mistake. I wanted to walk out, but I thought I'd give it a chance. A nasty dog smell slams your nose upon entering, which isn't very appetizing. The owners' dog is roaming around inside at all times and the cafe is quite dirty and cluttered. I ordered what I thought was a hamburg omurice (was told it was), only to receive a tiny hamburger patty, literally THREE fries and a serving of vegetables with rice fit for a toddler. I can't believe they actually charged 1,000 yen for this. Seriously, just go to Family Mart of 7-Eleven and buy a better version of this garbage for 450 yen, and enjoy it without the filthy conditions.

An omurice shop I’d been curious about for a while. I had a chance to go to Shibuya, so I stopped by. With soufflé omelets all the rage, this felt like a renowned shop holding its own with classic omurice. The elderly man and woman who run it are kind and pleasant, too. The interior is cluttered, but its unpretentiousness left a good impression. The prices are fair as well: omurice with soup and salad was 1000円. The taste deserves five stars, no complaints! Also, there’s a dog inside. It barks sometimes, but what’s more surprising is that a shop like this still exists in Tokyo’s 23 wards these days. It has that distinctive independently run feel, and it’s wonderful.

I went with a friend in 2017, when I was a student. The dog here🐶 is so cute❤️ Not a single bark, very well behaved, and charmingly came over wagging its tail. The shop has a retro appearance, and inside it feels like visiting someone’s home, but thanks to the dog I didn’t feel stiff or formal and was comfortable. I went with a friend, and we ordered omurice and hayashi rice (my memory is vague). The taste was average. The service and atmosphere are irresistible to a dog lover like me, so ⭐️ 🌱Access About a 15-minute walk from Shibuya Station. It’s a little far, but it’s in a quiet location away from the bustle.

It’s been a while since I encountered such an edgy place. First, it smells of dog as soon as you enter. Then that mixes with a strong soapy scent from some deodorizer or something, as if to cover it up, and it made me feel sick. Dog hair was scattered across the floor, to the point of making me question whether this was really a restaurant. The special omurice was lukewarm, barely even warm, and mildly flavored. I was bothered by all the black lumps mixed into the ketchup rice, but tried not to look, shoveled it down, somehow finished it, and hurried home. What a place.
