Shisha place in Shibuya. Quite crowded even on a weekday evening. Location is easy to find on google map. I tried the double Apple shisha. Flavour is acceptable tho not strong enough. They serves CBD beer and shisha so do take note as they contain cannabis. Tried the lamb chop. Lamb is not well seasoned so had to ask for salt and pepper.
View on GoogleA pretty unique spot in Shibuya — Turkish lamps, cozy terrace seating, and a vibe that feels nothing like the rest of Tokyo. The Middle Eastern cuisine was solid and the course menu was nicely put together. A good option if you’re looking for something a little different for dinner. 🌙
View on GoogleThe terrace looked like a lovely place to sit, but since smoking is allowed there, we chose a table indoors instead. The atmosphere was nice, although it was a little chilly inside. The staff weren't particularly friendly, unfortunately. 😅 I also wish there were a few more lunch options on the menu. That said, it's pleasantly quiet for Shibuya, which alone makes it a place I'd consider coming back to.
View on GoogleIn short, this is a cafe that has lovely decor and comfortable seating, but can't decide what it wants to be. There are both Middle Eastern and Italian dishes on the menu, and to be quite frank, they don't seem to have a great handle on the traditions of either cuisine. In particular, they used garlic and thyme in the labne, served it with garlic toast, and the tajine had no vegetables - the flavor was also quite far from being authentic. I felt they are serving food that is only be acceptable for people who have never had it before, without any thought for authenticity. It was rather disappointing, since I love North African and Middle Eastern food, and it is really hard to find in Tokyo. I was hoping this place would be put on my list of favorites, but alas ... I likely won't be back. As for the price point, well ... while I am quite happy to pay high-er prices for good food, I felt the food here did not live up to the prices on the menu.
View on GoogleI don’t have an enough impression to actually write a review since we were here for partaking a third party foodie event. This place was a chartered venue for that. Besides the supper course buffet went fine with exotic Turkish plates and the host’s informative talks, the ambience inside and the interior also went great with the event theme, “Turkish Mayhane”. The foods coming up to the buffet tables were fine, too, though they were supposed to have been prepared by the host (a world music’s critic and foodie), not by the restaurant chefs. Not much to say about the staff and the service in general since there were barely conversation or interaction with them other than they were replenishing buffet dishes. Well, I think they were supposed to be able to willingly serve us with smile and converse words, now I suppose that kind of “semi-silent treatment” was the restaurant’s standard protocol for their atmosphere setting as “Bohemian hideouts”. Hope I’m right about it. From its best location with dark but glaring image, this place should be worth visiting for once or twice, but weekend evenings could be crowded or chartered full-house, so scouting may be necessary.
