Very yummy and very reasonably priced! Would highly recommend.
View on GoogleBest tsukemen in town in a very genuine ambiance. I love the sauce and the porc preparation from the owner very good price quality value
View on GoogleI couldn't read 嗟哉. Apparently it's pronounced 「あなや」. I wonder what it means. It was lunchtime, but it wasn't busy, so I got in easily. I had a medium portion of the special tsukemen. The presence of the flat noodles and the strong flavor of the soup make a good combination. There were plenty of noodles, so I could fully enjoy their deliciousness. It's an old shop with none of the stylish feel of a recently opened place, but the interior was neatly organized and left a good impression.
View on GoogleLunch at a ramen and tsukemen specialty shop along Suido Road behind Opera City in Hatsudai, where the shop name (concept) changes between daytime and nighttime and you can also use it as an izakaya. By the way, it operates as 嗟哉 during the day and ポークヌードル内藤 at night. I had known about this shop for a while because of its homemade noodles, and had been thinking I would eventually stop in whenever I came to Hatsudai… This time, I happened to be in Hatsudai after 14:00 on a weekday, so I gave it a try. The meal-ticket machine is on your right as you enter. Since it runs two different concepts by day and night and can also be used as an izakaya, honestly, the interior is a little sticky and the kitchen is somewhat grubby too. So it might not suit people who are fairly concerned about hygiene. Anyway, my stomach was somehow in the mood for tsukemen, so I chose a tsukemen option from the ticket machine. The flavors are soy sauce, salt, and miso, and the noodles come flat or thick. In that case… I think miso with flat noodles is my preference〜… Yep, so I chose 味玉みそつけ麺, with a seasoned egg added! I put in 1100円 and bought the ticket. By the way, you can ask for fewer noodles or a medium portion (400g for tsukemen) when handing over your ticket. However, the medium portion is a complimentary service, so if you leave any, you have to pay 200円. Even though it is free, make sure you know your stomach's capacity before requesting a medium portion. Honestly, I think 400g of noodles would be tough for women to finish. Before long, the bowl arrived. There apparently isn't a ramen spoon. First, the miso dipping broth… hmm, it has a gentle miso flavor and feels light. Menma and thinly sliced chashu (though not really all that thin) are submerged in it, and this chashu is really tasty. Then, dipping the homemade flat noodles and eating them… hmm, perhaps the dipping broth is overpowered by the noodles. The noodles feel more slippery than chewy. And because they are flat, their floppy texture as they bounce around in your mouth is fun. The noodles themselves don't have a particularly strong flavor. But there is quite a lot about their texture that makes you think, just what you'd expect from homemade noodles, so the dipping broth ends up losing out. No particular thoughts on the seasoned egg. But I'll write it again: the chashu was delicious! There was only one regular customer before me, but around the time I finished eating, a solo customer and two pairs arrived. The owner, who was working alone, looked like he was about to get busy, so I left. Thanks for the meal!
View on GoogleWonderful! Delicious! Cheap! Fast! They do all of that perfectly, and the service is wonderful too. Even though he is working completely alone and the place is full, he provides broth to dilute the dipping sauce without so much as a displeased look. Truly impressive. I thought 甲斐 in Kugayama was amazing for operating alone too, but this surpassed it. I had a medium portion of 塩つけ麺平打ち麺 for 950円 including tax. It was cheaper than I expected, so I ended up going to くら寿司 next door afterward. I think the messages with few ★ are sabotage messages from nearby rival shops! I hope he keeps going and doesn't give in. For my first visit of the new year, I went first thing on 1/20 (Tuesday). He had replied to my review, so I thanked him, and was touched that he remembered me. I made a somewhat demanding request for 塩つけ麺平打ち麺 one size above medium. Handing over an extra 100円 was fine! It was 1050円 including tax. This time, I was full. Thank you! I'll be back!
