DON’T FREAK OUT WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO PAY IN ADVANCE MR TOURIST 😀😀 Everyone has to do it, locals and tourists alike. Again as is normal there is a cover charge - it’s more if you sit down but only ¥300 Had a bunch of beers and highballs as we stood at the kitchen. Fried horse mackerel was excellent, ham cutlet was actually SPAM but we loved it 😀. Beef skirt in ponzu was nice and also had few other bits and pieces. Chef got very self conscious having a tourist in front of him but he knocked out some decent stuff.

I just loved the short time I spent in this place! I only wish I could have gone back for longer. Don't expect a sophisticated restaurant but the food I had was really delicious (beef tongue in miso stew and steamed daikon radish). The portions are rather small but so is their price (400-600¥). The rules are each person must order at least one drink and one dish, you pay on the spot as you are served, cash only, and there's a 300¥ charge per person for seating. The atmosphere is very laid-back and the decor is really pleasant. If you're looking for a nice bite in Shibuya go for it!
