I've been here several times, and it's delicious and good value. It has that quintessential neighborhood yakiniku atmosphere! There are always families, groups that look like regulars, and people dining alone. The metal plates add to the atmosphere, but the seasoning is exquisite. The looks are deceiving in a good way. It tastes many times better than it looks lol. The rice is a little soft? I prefer softer rice, so that's another👌 We accidentally ended up with 2 portions of premium tongue, but polished them off. A place I'd like to visit regularly.
View on GoogleThe best yakiniku I've had recently! I think it's No. 1 in 千歳烏山. The karubi is simply delicious. The sauce is great too. I recommend the horse yukhoe🐴 It also has the atmosphere of an old-school yakiniku restaurant.
View on GoogleVisited for a weekend dinner after booking by phone. It was so busy that walk-ins were being turned away. The meat and dishes are generally delicious. The naka liquor for the Hoppy packed quite a punch. Our seats were beside the aisle in the tatami area, so it wasn't quite a leisurely, relaxing meal. Payment by paypay is accepted.
View on GoogleI'd been curious about 平和亭 for a while🥩 It was during the GW holidays, but I called without much hope, managed to get a reservation, and visited. When we arrived around 18:30, the restaurant was nearly full, bustling with families. The meat was thick-cut and delicious, and the salad was tasty too🥗 The staff were pleasant and frequently cleared empty dishes from the table, which felt very attentive. We ate until we were completely full. Thank you for the meal🎵 We saw several people unable to get in because it was full while we were eating, so booking ahead would be safer.
View on GoogleI've loved this restaurant since the previous proprietress's time. They stay open late, which is a blessing for a night owl. My wife, who frequently visits upscale yakiniku restaurants for social occasions, always says 平和亭 is her favorite. This is hearty, strongly seasoned yakiniku that goes down wonderfully with rice and alcohol. The atmosphere is that of a down-to-earth neighborhood yakiniku restaurant, but it feels clean, without the insects often found in old-school eateries. I often see people dining alone too. The staff are polite and personable. The meat is excellent, as is the quality of the offal, and there are plenty of side dishes. The karubi, gatsu shio, giara, and senmai sashimi are particular must-orders. Honestly, being able to eat meat of this quality at these prices in an era of rising costs leaves me deeply grateful. ※If I had just one request, I'd love the tan shio from the previous proprietress's days to return.
