We had both Yakitori and also their kamameshi. Yakitori was heavier than usual on the salted versions but their sauce yakitori(tare) was delicious. Kamameshi was alright.

Great service, greasy food, great pickles, kid friendly - doesn't get much better.

The storefront recalls Showa-era style, with a retro atmosphere inside. The salt or tare seasoning for yakitori seems predetermined; if I remember correctly, ★ on the menu means tare, so you simply order the cut you want and it comes with its assigned seasoning. ☆Salt skin・hearts・wings The wings are neatly split into mid-wing pieces, making them easy to eat. ★Tare tsukune・liver・stamina Stamina is my friend's favorite, and they ordered more; stamina is the fatty base of the heart. The tare is jet black and clearly well aged. It isn't as strong as the color suggests and is extremely mellow, but the balance of sweetness and saltiness is a little questionable. Maybe I'll try the kamameshi next time!?
