On a hot summer afternoon in Sangenjaya, I wandered off the busy main street and found a small shop I’d always been curious about. The sign is modest, but something about the place had stayed with me. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a nostalgic, cozy atmosphere. I had planned to order a cutlet, but the moment I saw the menu, I went for the ginger pork instead. What arrived was surprisingly thick and juicy, with a sweet-savory sauce that made it impossible to stop eating. The meat was tender, the flavor rich—perfect with a bowl of white rice. The lady running the place was warm and attentive in a quiet way, adding to the comfort. Simple, unpretentious, and deeply satisfying. I’ll definitely be back for that ginger pork.
