There is always a line, and the prices are fairly high, so I had long wondered what it tasted like〜. When I actually tried it, it was certainly good, but it felt ordinary for the price. Kitsune udon was 1300円. Haikara udon was a little under 1000円. The udon itself was chewy, substantial, and delicious. The dashi smelled good too. Perhaps they are particular about their ingredients. The shrimp tempura was plump and springy. But udon topped with fried tofu, one slice of kamaboko, and a little yuzu and green onion for 1300円…. Haikara udon with tempura crumbs, about 3 centimeters of mizuna, kamaboko, and condiments for just under 1000円…. If kitsune udon is usually around 900円 elsewhere, what exactly did I pay the remaining 400円 for…? There are few seats inside, customers waiting in line, and staff moving around busily. The shop itself is certainly quiet, but if you ask whether it is an atmosphere where you can relax and leisurely enjoy udon…that is how I felt. A food connoisseur might understand its merits, but for someone like me who still has much to learn, it was simply tasty, without an impression that justified the price.

A popular udon shop in Kyodo. On a coooold day, I had nabeyaki udon. It was packed with toppings such as mochi, fried tofu, shrimp tempura, and simmered shiitake. It warmed me from the inside out and was fantastic! The other udon dishes look delicious too!

It was cold, so I went because I wanted something warm. The chewy udon and daily rice dish were very delicious, as always! There is a short line, but turnover is quick, so you get in soon. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!
