I visited for lunch. Of course the karaage lunch main was delicious, but I was also really happy with the free self-service buffet, which tasted homemade and delicious! The service was polite and straightforward, and all my friends praised how comfortable they felt.

A restaurant along 旧甲州街道 on the north side of the station. It’s opposite “大勝軒.” There were about ２ customers when I entered. Most of the seating seemed to be tables for ２. Perhaps they combine them depending on party size. A table for ２ is comfortable even when dining alone. Looking at the menu posted on the wall, there were several kinds of fried rice, but this time, from the lunch menu, I chose かにレタスチャーハン and 本日の唐揚げ（小）. The price was １３２０円 (including tax). I thought it was a little expensive, but it does include a salad bar. I considered a beer… but a medium bottle of モルツ, not even the Premium version, was ６４９円 (including tax), the price of a large bottle ^_^; So I chose a highball with lemon. That wasn’t cheap either at ４９５円, and it was weak too. The karaage was something like yurinchi. This was tasty. The fried rice was very lightly seasoned. It was fried to an almost separate-grain texture, but the added lettuce also gave it some moisture. Anyone who likes bolder seasoning would probably find it lacking. There was no odd aftertaste and I could sense the quality, but I still felt it needed another accent.

Visited just after opening on Saturday! Perhaps it’s popular, because the seats filled up one after another after opening. If you’re going on Saturday or Sunday, it may be best to arrive right after opening. As others have written, the lunch set includes a salad bar (prepared side dishes), so it’s filling. Lunch for around 1000円 or less is cheap! For drinks, Chinese tea is free with a lunch set, while coffee and other drinks can be ordered for an extra charge. This time I ordered the limited-time menu item available from month 3〜10, “焼きなすと豚肉の和風つけ麺.” Verdict: absolutely delicious!! Other menu items were also highly praised for their flavor, so I’m looking forward to trying them next time.

I visited for lunch on a weekday and ordered the mapo tofu I had come for. The ingredients were perfect, but for me it lacked sweetness and richness :( It felt like an oily curry. I also ordered 五目春巻き separately, but although the size and filling were good, this lacked punch too.. I appreciated the all-you-can-eat salad, soup, and side dishes; the bean sprout namul, pickled daikon, and shredded dried daikon in particular were gently flavored and delicious. The seasoning was mild overall, so I don’t think it suits people looking for something hearty and punchy.
