Fantastic Yakitori Place. They cook the Yakitori over a charcoal grill and have a great smoky flavor to them. They provide unique takes to Yakitori as well, for example they have this Tsukune which they serve with a tare sauce and an egg yolk which is delicious. Staff are friendly, and cost-wise is amazingly affordable for a yakitori place. Recommend to get the day's omakase and add a few things.
View on GoogleDelicious local yakitori joint. I recommend the chicken wings and the tsukune. Expect a local crowd.
View on GoogleAt first I planned to go to 「い志井」 in Chitose-Karasuyama, but it was crowded. So... I headed to 「忠や」. This was crowded too, but there was an open counter seat, so I got in. I ordered stew and a few skewers. Service was rather slow; the stew and amireba arrived when I was nearly finished with my 2nd shochu refill for Hoppy. Slow, but the quality is quite high. The amireba and tsukune are very delicious. The stew is good too. I would like to stay a little longer, but considering the serving time, the amount of alcohol... lol. So I left after just that. Among yakiton places, 「仲屋」 is also delicious, but I feel their food came out faster than here.
View on GoogleA place with delicious grilled skewers♪ It focuses on yakiton, but has chicken too. The prices are reasonable, and the skewers are a good size. You absolutely should have the curry to finish♫
View on GoogleThe food and atmosphere are good, so I have been coming often lately, but this time I went home feeling a little sad. We visited on a public holiday, so there was a 2-hour limit, which is normal, and of course we agreed before sitting down. There were 3 of us at a table. Just as we were about to leave, we were told, “Your time is up, so please settle the bill.” Normally I would think nothing of it, but a group at another table who had arrived before us (they already had food on their table when we entered) were not told anything and were taking their time, so I felt we were being treated as less important because of the type of customers we were. They were nearby, so we could see the interactions. Both we and that group had finished last orders, and it was not as though they were still eating. It seemed they wanted to move other customers from the counter to a table, but if so, should they not have asked the group who arrived before us to pay first? We had spent a fair amount, yet I felt sad that they looked down on us and found us easy to tell to leave.
