Sri Mangalam A/C
スリマンガラム is one of the few restaurants in Tokyo specializing in Chettinad cuisine. You can casually enjoy authentic spiced dishes from the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu in South India. At lunch, we serve “meals,” a South Indian set meal enjoyed by freely mixing various curries and side dishes. Even first-time visitors can dine with confidence, as our staff carefully explain how to eat and enjoy it. At dinner, you can also use it as a South Indian izakaya, enjoying drinks alongside aromatic spiced dishes and curries. Starting with popular parotta and biryani, we offer an extensive menu for savoring authentic flavors…

On a regular Saturday, had filling and tasty lunch served on top of banana leaf. Food was very tasty. Rice is unlimited, eat as much as you can.
View on GoogleSouth Indian meals are a complete celebration of flavors! Served traditionally on a banana leaf, every item—from sambar and rasam to poriyal and curd—blends perfectly together. Light, wholesome, and deeply satisfying. Truly a soulful dining experience! Fully recommend ✅
View on GoogleSouth Indian style food where you eat on a banana leaf. Traditionally, you can eat with your hand but they also provide you with fork and spoon. The main lunch/dinner set here is all you can eat. Everything can be refilled. Be prepared to have a very filling meal because they refill you a lot of the carbs. Overall a great place when you're really hungry.
View on GoogleThis restaurant offers an authentic South Indian buffet experience, complete with traditional banana leaf serving. While the price is on the higher side, it allows unlimited servings of your favorite dishes. The vegetarian options shine, though the non-vegetarian items were average. The ambiance and traditional setup make it a unique dining experience, especially if you’re craving South Indian flavors. A good option for those seeking a taste of home or exploring something different, but consider the price point before you go.
View on GoogleIf you are looking for some authentic South Indian or just any good flavourful Indian food, they got you covered with some delicious home style dishes. I didn't have much expectations before I visited as I knew Indian restaurants in Japan can be underwhelming, but boy was I wrong. I tried their Non Veg meals and it came as you would expect it back home, served with a few vegetable side dishes along with curries. I tried both the mutton and chicken curry and both of them had plenty of flavour, not too spicy and you can see it's cooked in a authentic manner with all the right ingredients. Really enjoyed the oozing flavour in both the curries and the vegetables side dishes complemented the rich taste of curries very well. Great service by the team, checking if you need anything else or a refill and with a warm Indian hospitality. A wonderful authentic taste and cooking style South Indian restaurant in Soshigaya area and would be a place I am sure to revisit.
